Not gonna lie, i'm pleseantly surprised by how weighty the combat looks now, if feels like you are actually hitting stuff with some force behind.

The bit with the bow was damn good, great weight and ragdoll.

Unless this was intentionally cut to only show the "killing blow", I agree the combat does seem to have a nice weight and impact to it.

Never played the first one but this looks interesting. Is it a direct sequel?

I thought the same but honestly, even if it was just the final blow it would be a gigantic upgrade over the first one where every weapon felt like absolute shit, but yeah i don't expect tlou2 hit reactions from normal hits...

Yes it is a direct sequel.

Haven't heard much about this, looks like framerates aren't great, Series X seems the best console version. Loading times are odd with Series S being so slow and Series X half the time of PS5.
Looks like Series X performs better whilst drawing less power again.

Somehow the combat actually got worse. The mechanics are arguably better, but enemy behavior and movement can be super erratic, especially when it comes to flying enemies, which makes even ranged combat a real pain.

Companions are super useless too, especially those with melee attacks. I've been running around with Nasty for 5+ hours now, and I can count the times she has actually hit an enemy that wasn't attacking her on one hand. All her attacks have huge windup animations and don't track at all, so if an enemy isn't making an effort to stay close to her (i.e. when they're focusing on you instead, which is the case 99% of the time) virtually all of her attacks will miss.

Game runs like ass too, despite being uglier than the last one. As much as I love Piranha Byes, they are never, ever going to learn their lesson.

This screams like a perfect game pass release to me.

Pretty Cool Right?

I wonder what it could be, Clockspeed? Fill Rate?, Split Memory Bandwith? Maybe even stencil rops?

Good to see Series S hitting 1440p.

I suppose the API was mature enough here.

Weird that VGTech etc hasn't done this game. I don't expect DF to cover it as this came smack dab in the middle of their month of Elden Ring and it's probably too far away now, unless they assign Oliver to take care of it.
