I'm not hiding behind anything. Literally all we have to do is use the standard Elon himself set. He literally said over and over that if it's legal, he'll allow it as free speech. Remember when he was also specifically asked about the elon jet account and literally said he would not ban it? I remember. The guy is an erratic liar who has no clue what he's doing. I never advocated for a 4chan-esque free speech absolutist platform, so no that's not my goal.
At this point my main interests are in watching the Elon train wreck and pointing out clear dangers emerging from his deception and personal biased interests. I don't trust anything this guy says, and think he's just as much of a danger as anyone that was at Twitter previously. Both are motivated by biased special interests. I don't use any social media at all because I never trusted any of them.

I guess I just don't see the point of someone essentially not agreeing with me, then changing their mind, and instead of me being happy that perhaps they've learned to see things from my perspective, I mock them for not adhering to their original statement, and I call them a liar. I'm seeing a lot of that with Musk.
To me it's really easy to say "as long as it's legal it should be allowed" until you're the one allowing it, and it's making everyone else's experience worse. That isn't to say that censorship should ever be enacted with intent on silencing anyone's worldview or personal beliefs, but I'm not advocating for a 4chan-esque anything goes platform either.

You're over thinking the whole thing. When I get on an airplane, my wife can follow the path the same as with Elon's jet. The difference is that if Elon took a commercial first class flight, no one would know which craft he was on. I specifically tell my wife which flight I am on in case something happens. If I didn't tell her or anyone, no one would have any idea.
Also if the idea of people tracking you scares you that much, I would recommend getting rid of your smartphone.

And if he is so narrowminded that he makes decisions on policy for a global company based on his own personal interactions, then he is not fit for the job. Really. Even the twitter files revealed that as biased and ridiculous as they were, they had committees of multiple people debating it and getting feedback from the FBI. Now that's a whole other can of worms of massive fail that I don't condone. But it's a whole different thing than one eccentric guy getting into a scare and the next day flipping global policy. I honestly don't care about it. I don't weep for private jet owners that have to log their flights at publicly funded airports, guided by government air traffic controllers. It's not in the top 1 million issues I worry about. If the government wants to change this law, I wouldn't care.

Even then, they'd likely have to go through his bodyguards... Which he likely has by now.
And they'd likely be too late to get to him as he's probably left already to fly elsewhere. If they aren't at his home already, then what's the point of fretting about his jet?

But in reality this is public information. Some of this info is sourced just by using a radio and listening for transponders near airports. That info can be traced back to ownership records.
Crazies can use it, but I've seen some really good tracking of oligarchs and other notorious people. It shines a lot of light around the simple fact that even though some of these people are sanctioned, the world is a really big place if you have a lot of money.
You really don't need to defend these people. If they have enough money to buy a plane they have enough to hire someone that takes their personal security seriously.

People don't just have a right to fly around in US airspace. It's kind of an inherently government controlled thing. The government tracks all planes and large aspects of the infrastructure are taxpayer funded. If you want to have your own plane in the air coordinated by the government air traffic controllers, the government tracks it and it's public. The guy can take his LA tunnel if he wants, or the hyperloop.

Before, one could basically sculpt their own echo chamber on Twitter. It was kind of the point of the platform. Before I finally deleted my account it felt like the entire thing was broken. I was seeing tweets from people I would never want to engage with. I can't be the only person driven away by the changes. I mean, I use social media, such as GAF, for relaxing and engaging with like minded people. Who wants to sign in to some app and have a flurry of disagreeable people coming at them?
Anyways, maybe this new guy will basically set everything right again. Personally I doubt it - I think it's dead. It will hobble on for a bit because so many journalists and politicians use it, but it feels like it's already on borrowed time.

I recently found that the celebrities dont just use private jets, they abuse them. The kardashians use it for 10 minute flights that would otherwise be 40 minute car rides up and down the west coast. One of them is married to some rapper and they once used two separate flights to go from Tampa to LA just 15 minutes apart. they literally couldnt wait 15 minutes for their own spouse. wtf.

This whole private jet thing is a big fucking distraction. If you would be actually that worried of your privacy you’d fly something like Netjets or Vistajet. They’ll have a random Global 7500 waiting for you in hours, and nobody, not even you, knows the tail number until an hour or two before takeoff. Planes are brand new and well kitted and use the same FBOs for ground services and catering as you would do with your own jet.
