Seriously though, Elon Musk has just made more enemies now. Prepare yourselves with assholes from the USA and around the world trying to pass new legislation to regulate social media to only applying regulation to Twitter.
Already happening in Canada. Hate speech is basically a notch about disdain of something.

C'mon you can do better than that. If you wanna troll then go big.

That's C-tier bait at best. I don't get worked up these days for anything less than A-tier bait. Just ask DeepEnigma DeepEnigma

Problem with this, that for once, there is no normal reaction to it, one group find it terrifying, example of the fascist take over their beloved site and the other side is "oh yaas daddy Elon". CRINGE
Eh... my reaction is "meh."

Which I think is pretty normal and likely what anyone outside of the "i spend too much time online" sphere thinks.

It is either you know too much to pick a side, or you don't know anything at all and barely care. Welcome to politics, and not actually thinking about the product itself.

Regionalization does go against the globalist model. An outcome desired by some.

My country has been working on regional legislation for years. It's difficult. This buyout may help clarify and move things along, but the legislation would have to apply to all companies to withstand challenges.

You either believe in freedom of speech or you don't. Hence the polarized effect.

Everytime I read about these morons, I can't believe they really exist. But they write even stupider things that I could think of.

He's one of the subjects I typically try and avoid talking about online because the opinions about him are so wildly polarised. To some he's humanity's greatest hope and to others he's worse than Hitler.

I am curious to see what happens with this. The idea of a big social network like this going private is pretty interesting. But I'm guessing there won't really be a radical change.

Alright I forgot to specify, that I meant how people are writing about it on Twitter, because I am there for a war. Not here. I enter here, just to complain, you know

It is pretty insane to sit back and think that a billionaire can just like, buy the biggest social media platform in the world because they want to just whenever, and take it private. It's crazy.
…it already was private? Publicly traded doesn’t mean it’s not a private company.

It's not.
By the same token, you dont have any problem neither you say something about the rest of mass media and social media having mega rich owners....

Right, just like refusing business.

You're opening a can of worms here, lets stick to the topic. I don't want to get into all of that stuff that's

That's totally different. If Bezos is like, "You know what, I wanna fuck with FB because I don't think they're connecting families enough. But it's not about the money, it's about the future of families" , and then he goes and acquires it that would be CRRRRAAAAAZYYYYYY. This is that crazy.

It could be bought because it was mismanaged, and priced at a relative discount compared to where it should be. It's the biggest SM platform but sure hasn't been run like one.
