Why was Elon Musk kicked off?​

After conquering Diablo IV, Musk had been showing off his gamer skills in Path of Exile 2 until he shared a post on X showing he was disconnected from the game after being accused of cheating.

In the post, Musk shared a screenshot of a message alerting him that he had been disconnected. "You have been kicked for performing too many actions too fast," the message said. (Also read: Indian-origin CEO thinks he should ‘get a green card’, Elon Musk reacts)

Musk, however, denied using any software to make the game easier and said that he was just performing a 'high amount of actions per minute'. "Wasn’t even using a macro lol,” he joked, to which a user replied: "They give us like 10+ active skills and don’t expect us to hit the buttons?!"

Already old news. Yesterday he was showing off killing one of the big endgame bosses streaming from his laptop in an airplane using Starlink.

And no, unjust bans are not common. At least from what I can tell from the poe 2 reddit and official forums. Usually if there's a wave of unjust bans there's player outcry.

A friend of mine got identified as a bot in poe1. Because nobody would evee grind like that. Well hes a senior and liked the chill grind.

To many inputs doesnt seem likely. Ive seen musk streams and he didnt strike me as a high apm Player.

He was testing it over Starlink, maybe that's the reason their anti cheat freaked out.

Also, it's the richest man on the planet, he deals with the department of defense on the highest levels, he would have some FREAKY security software on all his computers.

I would say its more likely he has a PC + Network just for trivial things like gaming.just sperate it completly but your right. That could be the case.

I don't believe it, for #1 he's a freak of nature so could be seen as a bot. #2 if he wanted to cheat i'm sure they wouldn't be able to tell whatever he comes up with, ha!

Well, you're not talking about someone who can't change a tire, you're talking about someone that runs a bunch of some of the most successful and innovative companies in the world while also trolling people online more than your average teen and having many meetings and doing podcats and lot of other stuff. The guy obviously perfected multitasking and is successful at whatever he does, so being very good at videogames is hardly out of reach for someone like him. And I don't even like Elon, I think he can be cringy and weird, but I can call it how it is unlike so many of his haters.

LOL. I havent played POE2 yet, but if they kick people from doing stuff too fast, I'll get banned too.

I dont even aim or anything. When I played Diablo 3, I'd literally just mash all the special attack buttons at once asap and keep spamming it in big fights when the cooldown is over. Even for special attacks you can only do one at a time, I'd still keep mashing all the buttons because I didn't care to remember which gamepad buttons could be spammed many times (Shield Bash) and which couldnt Heaven of Fury.

It is a skill to hire the correct people and delegate tasks.

And have enough general knowledge and intelligence to understand a wide range of specialties.

You act like a good video game is only because of the programmers. It has nothing to do with the artists or the designer or the producer who manages the 100 person team.

There is a reason Miyamoto and a hand full of others are household names and have had success for 40 years.

I have no doubt Musk is playing in the videos that he is posting on X.
But I wonder if he does outsource some grinding work. Because it basically requires only time and not any particular skills, especially in D4.

I reckon he has such a short attention span he is playing half the time he is doing other things. He would have the tech to do it.

Honestly, I would do it if I could get away with it - it beats scrolling shit on a phone or listening to peons.

Dude has someone coaching him through the game. Anyone who thinks he plays these games himself fully is naive. Probably has a bunch of people leveling his characters and then he jumps on a steam or posts a video of him playing so a bunch of people go all like "omg look at this autistic genius, we love you Elon".
