No more Mandatory Update?
I don't want GB corrupting Bosman's pure soul.Poor Ian.
Can she and the rest of GT join Giant Bomb please.
Damn... hate seeing one of the few staff members to survive the transition to Defy just to land up leaving after just a little over a year.
It's a little worrying with Bosman losing his set... losing Damiani... now Elyse. Defy doesn't even list GT on their brands page- http://www.defymedia.com/our-brands/
I hate to see them slowly die like this... but at least we'll always have the double jump.
Not to be a downer, but you're right. Wasn't until I went back to check something that the meaning of this shot hit me:

Always felt like GT was the best place for people who played games in their spare time for fun and avoided chasing after "gamer" market. Just very laid back, generally excited about announcements, gave very straight forward and informed reviews and was willing to point out issues in the industry without pretending like it was the end of gaming as we know it.
As posted by someone else in the Final Bosman thread:
Yeah... they are downsizing. It is rather sad to see as I have grown fond of this group. Good luck to Elyse.
We're not downsizing. Downsizing is when people get laid off. That's not happening right now.
In terms of the space, people are overreacting a bit for sure. Maybe it will come across better in a larger tour video, but the new bullpen's not that different from the cubicles they were in before. It's just in a separate room rather than an open area. So we don't have to worry (as much) about debates echoing over all Defy's offices or people walking by and seeing us play games pre-release.
My office and Brandon's office are roughly the same size as before. Ian and Don's bay is significantly larger, and the studio is about twice as large. (Don't let Bosman's shots fool you.) This building also has a faster network, better parking, and better food options. You really don't need to worry.

I guess I can calm down then. Good to hear you guys are doing great! You provide me with my favorite games podcast, show and reviews. Keep up the amazing work! We're not downsizing. Downsizing is when people get laid off. That's not happening right now.

.There's been some murmurings about her joining the Funhaus crew. Someone on Reddit let their speculation run wild but it does seem like a reasonable outcome for where she'll end up next. It's also somewhat supported by the fact that the Funhaus crew seemed interested in the idea.
This wasn't a layoff as far as we know though
That's been going on for a while they lost a sizeable chunk of their senior staff when viacom sold them to defy media.

I hope not. Funhaus is exactly that hyper active "WE'RE SHOUTING BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GET THE ATTENTION OF THEM YOUTUBE KIDDIES"-crap I hate.
Not surprising. Good news though.
Bad times. Can't stand them![]()
