I hate that things can be recorded so easily these days, instead trying to talk to this dude folks just stand back laugh and record stuff. Sad world we live in.

You think in the pre-camera phone era people would done anything else?

Bystander effect is something that is counter intuitive, but has been present forever.

No I think it's sad that people record it and it's sad that people don't help two different sadnesses that often intersect.

I wouldn't want to be involved in that because that's none of my business.

What a cowardly attitude you are fellow human being seeing another human in distress it is your business to at least offer up so kind help to calm this person.

What place do they have to talk him down? Why should he care? They don't know anything about the situation. It's between him and management. And yes, management is already talking him down and has likely called the police and they don't want others to get injured if he's throwing things behind the counter.

Yeah, I get the feeling.

I know I have never been witness to such a situation, but I know I would do the right thing.

I've been in a situation similar to this, only it was a drunk dude (and probably some other stuff as well) in a Wendy's. Was with my family and my dad, was at the time (he's retired now), a correctional officer (so he's trained on how to deal with things like that). The store had already called the police, so we just sat and watched an asshole be an asshole.

For one, it's a liability issue, especially if the guy is violent. Say someone steps up and gets hurt in the process, that's a potential lawsuit against the McDonald's.

Lol, What's cowardly about choosing to not be involved in a situation that's between a manager and an employee? I don't think you know what the definition is.
