So I guess the manager in the video was fired as well. According to the manager it was because the owner of the McDonald's claims he didn't have control of the situation. IF that's true I don't know what else he could have done. The manager seemed to be handling it the best he could.

Agreed. If he had touched the dude, there would be loads of lawsuits as well, I bet. He handled this in the best way possible. Can't believe they fired this dude for it.

Hopefully the competition sees this and hires the guy :/

In the story it says he was basically getting about 28K. Sounds to me like it's time to move on up the ladder. The manager should apply to some kind of decent restaurant.

I'd pay so see a Worldstar video of a GAFer attempting to soothe this guy then nearly getting drowned under the soft serve station.

What happened to Minnesota nice?

I grew up a block from that McDonald's.

It's a very poor neighborhood and that McDonald's is fucking garbage. They ran out of coins once and fired employees that gave people rounded up change.

This happened while telling them they still had to run transactions.

Not even slightly surprised.

I can see why nobody tried to intervene. That is a big dude.

I wouldnt intervene either he was my coworker.. He's just wrecking shit owned by a multibillion dollar company. Getting those replaced is nothing/not worth the trouble. Though I would sure have try to step in if he looks like he about to hurt someone. Luckily on this that wasnt the case.

A lot of people from Chicago are moving to Minneapolis and St. Paul. This state is going to shit.

I wouldn't say that, but okay.

I grew up in that neighborhood. It's diverse and not very well off. But there are also lots of good people there too.

You are making it sound like Chicago is a code word for black people.

He'll be alright. He'll get some kind of shitty job and will just have to basically start over.

Probably not, actually. It's pretty much impossible to find a job these days even at the lowest levels of employment in some places. So I'd probably do the same thing if I lost my job in that position.

Uhhhhm

Hopefully you just mean...you think people from Chicago are bad or something? Because that's still loopy but at least it's not coded racism, which this very easily reads as

No I think it's sad that people record it and it's sad that people don't help two different sadnesses that often intersect.

What a cowardly attitude you are fellow human being seeing another human in distress it is your business to at least offer up so kind help to calm this person.

Are you really willing to get injured or killed for intervening over some stupid shit like this ?

McDonald's freak outs happen so often they've become a genre.

Unreal.

Waitaminnit...is this the same McDonald's where that one lady had her massive freak out? I think that thread got posted like a month ago? Ah they all look the fucking same. Hell, looks like the inside of the one I worked at.

Ding-dong! May I interject for a second? As a Burger Shack employee for the past three years, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that if you're craving White Castle, the burgers here just don't cut it. In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down. Come on, Pookie, let's burn this motherfucker down! Come on, Pookie! Let's burn it, Pookie! Let's burn this motherfucker down! Let's burn it down! Let's burn it! So you guys maybe should just suck it up and go to White Castle.

I guess the guy that lost his minimum wage job got a big one up on the manager who fired him.

He must be like "was worth it" when he found out his manager was also fired.

I hate that things can be recorded so easily these days, instead trying to talk to this dude folks just stand back laugh and record stuff. Sad world we live in.
And what exactly would you do in this situation?

What a cowardly attitude you are fellow human being seeing another human in distress it is your business to at least offer up so kind help to calm this person.
It's not cowardly to not want to get involved in something that is none of your goddamn business, it's human and, in some way, respectful.

Unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in 7 years, but acting like this dude will all but guarantee you're part of that ~5.5%.

This young man has a shit home-life, which probably means he is still in high school and living with parents or relatives - which implies that he is a part-time worker who comes in after school, more than likely. He works maybe four hours per day, and is paid at such a low wage that $20 is probably all he makes in a single day of working there, after taxes, along with an UNPAID "30-minute" break in the middle of his shift, where workers are often told to work during that time if busy.

I know I'm looking pretty far into it, but I can't find any other way to rationalize destroying your place-of-work over $20, unless you were being treated terribly there.

Speaking from experience, if you're part of the 5.5%, it's basically impossible to get out of it. If you're a certain personality type, not even retail will hire you. It's a serious problem.

Dudes being a fucking baby. Getting charges and sued for destruction of property is the dumbest way to go about getting his money.

Been in that situation myself and it ducked. But nothing justifies that bullshit right there. Yea it sucks but that's why you work your way up to fries and then assistant manager then peace out that birch and go somewhere else and keep it moving.

Can't do that if you flip the fuck out when shit don't go according to plan.

good for him. not saying it's okay to do this but mcdonald employees are treated like shit. there should be a mass mctantrum day where every employee at mcdonalds does this and walks off the job. fuck fast food.

Surprised by the uploader of the video admonishing the Youtube comments for the racial vitriol. You don't see that too often from folks who upload videos like this.

The Guy Who Uploaded The Video said:
Until now, I've never understood the amount of racial hate in this cesspool known as the comments section of YouTube. From all sides.

It's a video about a guy who goes crazy. Not a black guy, not a "nigger", just a guy.

Man... I've visited MN before and never saw that many black people, let alone in one place. But I never went to St. Paul.

The comments are horrible as usual.

Well that sucks. The manager was cool and collected as possible through that. I cant say I would be the same if I was in that situation.

First off, dafaq is this post?

Second, you must of not visited Minneapolis either. You were probably up in some random ass town like East Bethel or Lino Lakes.
