Why on earth would someone from Vancouver want to play as the Wild? Wouldn't rabid Canuck fans eat you alive?

I rented NHL2K4 for the XBox, got bishop online, and we played a game. He chose the Canucks first, and since it was the first time I was playing anyone online (I just rented the game that very night and was still getting used to the difference between 2K2 on DC and 2K4 on XBox), I jokingly chose the Minnesota Wild, so that when I lost, it would be a good loss.

The final shots in the game between bishop and myself were

Minnesota - 23
Vancouver - 88

The final score was

Minnesota - 1
Vancouver - 0

(it was either that or 2-1)

It was glorious. Dwayne Roloson was making brilliant save after brilliant save, and it was driving bish nuts. I didn't buy the game because of the massive amount of lag I got, so bish never got his rematch. I never let him hear the end of it whenever an ESPN NHL game is brought up.

I played 2k4 at like speed level 1, which is why I hate playing online. It's like they all did some blow in the locker room and are in a giant race to see who can get the most one-timers.

What they really need to do is have some preset sliders. Instead of just having everything at five they should have a few settings like Realistic, Arcade, Fast Paced, Hard Hitting, and whatever.
