About a 3D Mario game, isn't the new Donkey Kong being made by the Tokyo based Mario team?

I don't know for sure but I suspect it is. If that's the case we should probably not expect a new 3D Mario game so soon..
I reckon DK is from EPD8, but they've been quite quiet lately. Wouldn't be shocked if they've been working on two games at once (with help from a support studio or two).

Master Chief Collection could actually pick up a following on Switch 2. Needs a few skins and some marketing push.

Good line up, lots of variety compared to PS5 launch and xbox series launch. But I will really wait for a new Earthbound, new Mario platformer, metroid 4(October), and of course a new Zelda. Gta6 might be impossible due to limitations on hardware but anyway i will play that on ps5.

Will there ever be a new Earthbound?

Mario 3d sounds plausible 25/26. Smash was shown for how many years before released. 2 or 3? That isn't happening any time soon.

Smash Ultimate was revealed in March of 2018 and released that December. Maybe you're thinking of the rollout of DLC characters? That continued for a couple of years after the game launched.

That said, I don't think Smash is releasing this year, since Sakurai has been working on Kirby Air Riders.

That could be it

Smash was announced in March 2018 for a 2018 release (released in December 2018), people were thinking it was a port of the Wii U version rather than a new game, cause it was too quick.

Eagerly awaiting Nintendo to provide me with some release dates for games after Donkey Kong launches. Market your games, Reggie.
