I wonder what this will entail. I'm always down for more/better GoT.

Ghost of Tsushima Remastered
Death Stranding Directors Cut

Fuck it they may as well carry on give us
Bloodborne Remastered
Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy Remastered
Horizon Remastered
God of War Remastered
 
I thought with the patch we won't get a remaster. So now I'm confident we will also get Last of Us 2 Remastered.

I think the pattern here is these games will be bundled with standalone DLC

Miles Morales comes with remastered Spiderman
Ghost of Ikishima comes with GoT

Last of Us Factions 2 will come with Last of Us 2 Remastered

I don't see Horizon 1 and God of War Remasters as their games are not small standalone expansions but full sequels. Also both Horizon 1 and God of War are older games. It seems these remasters are not going to be simple Res and FPS upgrades such as Spiderman Remastered getting Ray Tracing and new models so I don't see them putting that effort to older games like Horizon and God of War. Where as it makes sense with Ghost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2 as they are recent games with new standalone DLC.
 
I immediately had a flash of rage about likely having to buy it again but then remembered it was a class game and that I almost certainly will buy it again without complaining when the time comes.

I love that they made it so you can switch armor + "rune" setups, that made it so much more fun to be creative. I just wish they let you customise the outfits more specifically, colour-wise, I normally don't really go too deep on outfits in games and am happy with whatever they create but I think the way you look is a big part of this games tone so I wished I could do my own colours in this one.

Game was beautiful, but gameplay was repetitive half way through,
Most of the quest were repetitive as well, and don't talk about the stupid fox mini quest.

i finished the game at highest difficulty.

If you found Ghost repetitive I'd love to know of a game you didn't find repetitive. Most games have you doing some form of the same thing. Ghosts ability to keep it fresh was its strength.
 
problem with gaming nowadays. Remaster this, director's cut that... I love Ghost of Tsushima, but I would rather they focus on new content. smh

Yeah, but which big open world game isn't?

It's not the creative vision to put a bunch of copy & paste filler content in the game, but you don't have much of a choice when people expect like 80+ hour games for $60.
 
I hope they take the time to lip sync the Japanese dub. Absolutely blew my mind how the game was animated for English first and foremost while the Japanese was the afterthought.
 
I loved this game to death! Definitely willing to double dip.

My hopes for a PS5 remaster:
  • Upgraded + 4K textures
  • Increased LOD
  • More particles!
  • Restored bamboo tree leaves from E3 2018
  • Polished animations
  • Reworked cutscenes for minor quests
  • Inverse kinematics so Jin's feet don't clip through stuff
  • Snow deformation for the north island where Act 3 takes place
  • Better water rendering + interaction
  • RT reflections or GI would be pretty sweet
  • Native 4K mode?
 
Not a fan of this trend. Feels like we're back to the "Gold Edition" days, which always made me angry. With Sony's games costing AUD$125.00, this is gonna be a hard sell.

To be fair, I bet the expansion will be available for purchase separately from the remaster.
