It is because they are the highest defending team in the tournament with extreme counter pressing when they lose the ball. The opposition can't play precise balls because of that. Germany also has the least shots on goal conceded but shot the most balls on target. It's basically Guardiolas tactics with more power. The opposition can't score if they haven't got the ball. Works so far.
