Anyway, I decided to pass on GTA V on current gen console. I'll get it if it is released for the PS4; otherwise, I'll just skip it. Same for Batman Arkham Origins, cancelled my preorder for that as well hoping there will be a next gen release despite what I've heard to the contrary. Beyond:Two Souls is my last (new) current gen game.

They may hold off on ps4/xbone version for a while longer than that since people are getting the $10 deal for upgrades for various cross gen games like AC4 and COD Ghost

regardless, I'd pay another $60 just to get this game at 1080p running smooth if they did release on PS4

Yeah, I'm sure as they were sitting there making the world's most expensive piece of entertainment software having over a thousand people working on it, they also slapped together a next-generation console and PC version they are withholding because they are anti-consumer. I will own the shit out of this game. Please god have custom soundtracks like GTA4. The current in game music is probably the weakest part about the game. Also, think about it this way, shooting probably won't be stupid anymore when you're driving (with a mouse and keyboard).

I'm not talking about port begging. The point of why would someone want a PS4 or Xbox One version when there's the 'superior' PC version is a pointless question. Not everyone plays games on their PC or has a gaming PC but is interested in the next gen consoles, it's simple really.

Yep - next fall a "GOTY edition" on next-gen consoles. Although R* may not get all of there DLC content by then. Ballad of Gay Tony was at least a year or two after release of GTA IV.
