Even taking a step back from all this, Metaphor and Rebirth have a 92 and 93 on OC, and Veilguard has a 79. How can they objectively put Veilguard above those two?

Yes thank you. I don't actually think it's supposed to be objective, hence the 2nd half of my post.

Objective: Eurogamer gave Veilguard, a game that scored in the 70s in OC and was met with widespread criticism and laughter, a 10/10. Placing it above the critically claimed and widely beloved Metaphor Refantazio.
Subjective: Eurogamer have hilariously bad taste.

“I'm not a fan of the frankly quite ridiculous costumes. I appreciate that there's a market for that, but I think these designs undermine a top notch action game.“

#21 in the critics list and #20 in the user voted EG list, not really much of a difference there.

I haven’t played 50 games in 2024, or even close to that, but out of those I’ve played I too have Indiana Jones as my #1. So solid choice there at least!

The list needs Minishoot Adventures at the top 10 as well, most positive surprise for me in 2024, didn’t know it even existed before John at DF made his personal list.
