Just a quick question:

I had a friend ask that if I bought her a Xbox 360 US console (when I can find one), and shipped it over, if Xbox Live would work on it?

I had no idea, and i'm sure somone on the forum knows the answer on how Xbox Live works region-wise.

Yes it will work.
The Xbox connects to the U.S. servers through whatever Internet connection you have. It doesn't matter where in the world you are, the Xbox will just go through your countries internet infrastructure to get to the USA infrastructure and the US Servers..
