I do like the theory that due to all the politics UK will never win so we pick the shittiest act available to see what will happen.

Why not?

I mean no one in the UK takes it seriously, not even the BBC who are paying for most of it! Every year the songs are staggeringly bad from every country. There's no point in trying. You have 101 little countries, half of which aren't even in it, voting for their neighbours.

Eurovision is there to take the piss out of, not win :)

It wasn't that long ago that the UK hosted it. It's not fun though, as Terry's a presenter and can't sit there taking the piss.
 
YES! This is the day I have dreamed of! Some band that I heard of a few days ago and found amusing have won some contest that I didn't know existed until uh, the same day I heard about the band.
