Ever been recognized by someone famous?

Bob Hall, the "father of the Mazda Miata", knows me on a first name basis, and we also played Forza 4/Horizon together online quite often.

When I was 17 working at Albertsons (grocery store) Ice T and his family would come in for groceries, I would occasionally help him out to his Bentley with his stuff. We talked about Grand Theft Auto for a few minutes once. I also called him "Mr. T" and he laughed and said, "do I got a bunch of chains on?! Hahah!"

lol @ you calling him Mr. T
That's hilarious

Ha no, far less famous. William Regal.

What?!

Stinkles and Evilore and possibly Gary Whitta once replied to me.

JT and I made eye contact at one of his concerts and there's nothing you can say to me that will make me change my mind.

shook hands with marcello lippi once. i even made him laugh thanks to one of my rare good jokes.

that's all I remember about that night though.

I ate lunch and bought two camera lenses from a DP who's best known for being the guy Christian Bale flipped the fuck out on while shooting the last Terminator film. He teaches a lot of workshops in Austin.

"OOOOOH GOOOOD FORR YOOOOOUUUU"

I was hanging out on Nickleback's tourbus after a concert in New Orleans back in 2003 (please don't ask) and Steve Slovisky from a band called Injected yelled "Hey Stephen!" and offered me a beer. He was a very nice guy and remembered me from a prior event.

Well, I had a conversation once with Roger Ebert regarding whether the exposition of nipples on art-ish picture can be constituted as NSFW or not, hahaha.

The voice of Adam Jenson for Deus Ex (Elisa something) followed me on Twitter. Some guy told Elisa that he'd want Elisa's voice and Elisa said it comes with a cost. I butted in and said "you never asked for this" and got a nice follow

I had a film professor tell the class that one of my papers was so good that he would read it in front of class if he could, but there wasn't enough time. I also wrote another paper that he found so hilarious that after reading it he woke up his wife and he read it to her.
For an English class this past semester we each had to write a short play and my English professor said my play was the best and most clever. My professors aren't famous yet, but they will be once I become famous myself and hook them up.

As a kid I was carried on the shoulders by Goh Chok Tong, the second prime minister of Singapore.

Also met the Sultan of Brunei who was an okay guy.

Finola Hughes tweeted me back when I said I loved her in Staying Alive made my day and was blushing for a good while

The person who made the move Grabbers tweeted me too

Another soap star Sean Kanan asked if I bought his book through his site or Amazon :]

Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion followed me on Twitter and have responded to me several times. J.K. Rowling liked one of my tweets about some political issue. I guess that's it. I've met and had discussions with a few celebrities before they were famous, not sure if that counts.

Edit: oh, I've also had some light-hearted "debates" (about meaningless shit) with both Bill Burr and Doug Benson on twitter as well.

This thread is the mother of all humblebrags.

Not hating OP but you know why you posted this thread ;)

Fucking awesome painting though.

I'd brag about David Hasselhoff following me on Twitter but he follows over 40,000 people... And I'm pretty sure most of his Twitter is handled by an assistant.

Ha no, far less famous. William Regal.

Apparently I'm related to Bruno Sammartino, if anyone knows who that is. Stories told by my grandparents may be apocryphal, though.

I got favorited by Richard Garriot on Twitter once and converse/interact with David Mullich (Ancalagon The Black from Tolkien Online) often on Twitter.

I met Erin Anderson doing some work in the field. I came back the next day to finish and she greeted me by name, thanked me, and also helped me a little.
I had no idea who she was until later.
David Kennedy from Angels and Airwaves would definitely remember me but I doubt he'd recognize me on sight.
EDIT:Gwen Stefani grabbed my ass once. I guess that counts as appreciation. Darryl Strawberry deemed me "cool".
My other interactions were either uneventful or negative, unless I'm forgetting some things, which is entirely possible.

Nobody actually famous, but I talk to quite a few artists and musicians who are recognized in their fields. Naughty Dog and Weta artists are probably the most famous ones.
