To me, all those rumors say that Konami is indeed looking to sell or license their IPs. And we get rumors because they've been in talks with several interested parties.

But we might be surprised by who actually ends up grabbing those. Could be Sony, MS, or another unexpected publisher.

Nah, but heck... I almost want it to be true. Today's MS would be a good steward of Konami IPs.

Sorry for the daft questions but how much R&D needs to go into gambling still when it's clearly all been done before. Like how much has gone missed?

That seems a bit unlikely, however, I remember a weird rumour in 2019 saying that xbox’s library ‘’is about to be greatly expanded’’ or something like that

I don't know, it almost makes sense. MS wants to bolster their presence in Japan and it's a great stable of IP's with long legacy's to help them combat Sony. XBOX would want to have a Japanese studio to appeal to fans of Japanese games.

That would be Awesome! :D

Imagine a new Silent Hill or Castlevania on the XBox Series X :)

But it's probably a false rumor like the PlayStation rumor, but I hope it's true :D

yeah...I don't think so. How much did MS pay for Minecraft? Konami should be 10, 20 times that easily.

Also, @Konami, please remake SOTN (2D) for the love of God.

It is fake...
...but if it was real, I would laugh my ass of after "Kojima Konami reunion to work on PS5 exclusive" rumors

That's why it would make sense for Microsoft, they need single player experiences too, and they want to expand in Japan and Konami IP's are beloved in Japan ;)
Unfortunately Microsoft has stated many times they're not interested in making strictly singleplayer games... Afaik nothing's changed about that approach.

Heck he got so much money he don't need to worry about anything for the rest of his life. I say it was a pretty good cash out if you ask me.
He didn't need to cash out like that. He could have stepped down and kept living out of it. But sure, I see what you mean.
