Every Nintendo fan has moral and civic duty to support Duskbloods like it's a Nintendo first party game

I wanna see this game sell 10-12 million copies and become massive on-going franchise.

I also want to see Nintendo and From Soft collaborate on more exclusive projects. Since many people think Nintendo need to cater more to 'mature' audience, From Soft type of games are ideal for that

- At the very least I'd like to see more From Soft games ported to Switch 2, like Sekiro, Armored Core 6, Dark Souls 3
- I'd like to see From Soft input and influence on the next, darker theme Zelda game

Sony was gifted TWO From Soft exclusives and they squandered it both times. Don't repeat the same mistake, NINTENDO and their FANS MUST SUPPORT DUSKBLOODS, please 🙏

I... am sorry. But I am really not feeling this multiplayer-focused not-Bloodborne. But I genuinely wish you all the fun!

I agree. I will buy it and I probably would not if it was multiplatform.

You will get lots of jokes and pushback here, but know there is at least one fellow fanboy who understands.

lol @ duty

I buy the games I want to play. If I support this game in thr future I'd be getting more multiplayer stuff instead of the cool singleplayer games I enjoy. Hard pass.

We don't even know how it's going to play. The game is already on the back foot with it being an online only extraction souls, and let's be honest Fromsoft is awful with online functions.

I did not expect these responses :messenger_anguished:

Then you are completely out of touch. Have you been hiding under a rock? Look at the reception to Nightreign. Did you not ready any of the comments during the Switch 2 Direct? It went from pure Bloodborne 2 HYPE to "skip" as soon as anyone heard what it really is.

I'm reserving my final judgment on the final game for release. Maybe it will be great, but I am not supporting this game until I know how it actually is. And until then, it's going to be fighting an uphill battle.

Don't be scared youngling.

There was a lot of expectation, and some gloating, on GAF when Sony acquired a further £250m worth of shares in Kadokawa at the end of last year. The assumption was exclusive Sony games.

A Miyazaki exclusive Nintendo game was on no one's bingo card. And that has been a hard, 6-inch long, phallic pill for some to swallow.

Seriously though, I'm hyped for The Duskbloods and I think it's cool that Miyazaki has been given the freedom to experiment and try something outside of the Souls formula. Of course, we don't have much information about the game yet, so there's still a real chance that I might decide it's not for me after we learn more, but right now I'm excited.

As far as ports of other From games are concerned, I think the real test will be how Elden Ring performs on the Switch 2. If it does well, Dark Souls Trilogy and Sekiro ports are probably inevitable. Meanwhile, I would bet real American dollars that an Armored Core port is already in development, since Daemon X Machina apparently saw enough success on the OG Switch to warrant a sequel.

Maybe if it wasn't a MP game. I don't really care for those. *continues throwing pinecones on people who get too close to my home*

How do you figure that? didn't both make both parties money, help Sony sell some hardware/subs, and still to this day delight their fans? They were also both collaborations with Sony's own Japan Studio, hence Sony owning the IPs, and not like it was all done by From and simply paid by Sony.

I have a moral responsibility to support a good game, not blind allegiance for a certain platform. I'm not blind buying anything just because of a Nintendo money hat to FromSoft.

Lol only if it looks good to me, I know it's From Software but not having a 60 fps mode may push me back hard...

I love From and Nintendo games... Why in the hell would I want From to keep on making multiplayer games on outdated hardware? No thanks, better if it flops.
