think that is the turf war thing isn't it?
No idea. Hard to get a full room for Turf War as it is.

Thanks. I knew conditions changed 8pm EST daily, but I wasn't sure if that changed courses as well.
Sorry to be one of those people, but they change at 8PM EDT.
To add to Heel's reply: also bear in mind that using backspin introduces some RNG into your shot (regardless of whether you hit with perfect impact) that will see it potentially straying several yards off course to the left or right, so don't just use backspin all willy-nilly on every approach. And, when you do use it, be cognizant of the effect and try to account for it. This only applies to backspin shots, however. Topspin and curve shots are unaffected.
Alpine In is regular tee and normal cup. Get your condors while they're hot.
An online course will say when it's "official" or not. Short answer; Normal cups = official regardless of tee or weather. Only scores while official count toward any special shots. Nailing 3 condors would already be plenty challenging on tornado cups mind you, but Because Reasons they've left the difficulty ridiculously high here. 1 took me 3-4 hours across a few days. I gave up just now after about another 2 trying to get more. The window to even get the green is extremely, extremely tiny, perhaps 1-2 minor adjustments zoomed in and within the same 1% of power, and every tenth of wind changing throws it off a little bit. Even if the shot hits the green there seems to be plenty of luck.also, when farming shots, do I need to do them on regular tees and normal cups to make them count towards unlocking characters??
Do my birdies/eagles/albs/condors/ count if I do them on"unofficial" courses
what's the freaking point of anything unofficial in this game, anyway? nothing counts there.
Also don't get me started on the non-randomness of custom club upgrades, and I swear I'm not just salty because I recycled a set with 20 levels on it looking to make one a second one with 25 and didn't know that that wasn't automatically possible even with infinite reloads and luck! A 2nd recycle after 10 upgrades and buying the third set hasn't netting me anything better than 15 total and I'm peeved, to say the least. I miss my 7 power 13 control and am sickened by the sight of this 14 control (total) abomination I'm stuck with now.
regarding online, what exactly is blocked behind PS+? some things seem available, I am a bit confused.
There's no way to get any condors without custom clubs in this game right?
I posted these tips on a certain trophy forum so Ill post them here too:
Personally, I would wait until the conditions are right until going for the Condors.
Normal tee and weak wind then youre good to go.Tee off from the front left corner, Triple Impact Ball, Super Topspin aimed between the centre point of the huts roof and the two parasoles on the right as a reference point, and make adjustments after allowing for the wind.
I got my Condors by hitting 95% power of a 372y club, so about 353 yards. Any more than that and it would hit the hut and any less wouldnt have enough reach to hit the water for the bounce.
Ideally you want to wait till theres a tailwind of <1.5mph. I think this aspect is crucial to greatly increase your chances of the elusive shot.
Also, if you dont get a Super Topspin at impact, i.e the dot on the ball isnt blue, then quit and restart. Itll save time in the long run and lower the chance of smashing your controller to bits in a fit of rage.
I saved this screenshot of the place that I was aiming for all three of my Condors. (Ignore the wind speed)
Good luck!
I've spent over 10 hours grinding on that damn hole and only have 1 to show for it. I've hit the pin 6 times with normal spin, left it inside a foot 20+ times, burned the edge with super spin 100's of times, tried a thousand different methods... beyond frustrated with it.
I'm on rank 6, once I hit rank 7 and get the final course else is there to do?
Are any more DLC courses announced?
Got my last revenge character today, so now I'll probably wait for them to revamp the gem system and implement graded tournaments. Maybe I'll give the game another try then, but I kinda doubt it.
I should have my last one later on tonight. You know, assuming it spawns.
I actually got the feeling they fixed that with the last patch.
Had a revenge character show up every day afterwards. Had quite a few days without one before.
But maybe I was just lucky.
I'm only missing the condor specific characters now, but since my first set of custom clubs came up short to reliably go for the condor, I kinda lost my drive to go for another better set. Running around open courses looking for gems is just tedious and boring. Really don't understand how they didn't implement gems into rewards for daily challenges and stuff.
What did you end up at?
I used my 344 yards(354 with power) club and got them fine on the regular tee. How bad was your luck? That's only 16 to power.

There's actually a trick to uploading your save to PSN prior to the refresh, and downloading that save after the refresh as many times as you like until you get a character to spawn.
Upload a new save once you win, or close the app and download again if you're losing. Rinse and repeat.
Is there a limit to the number of times you can recycle clubs? Is it technically possible to to keep recycling if you have like 5,000 gems and eventually get a driver with 450yd power or something? Because there's other holes on the DLC and preorder courses that are condorable (ha) with maybe a bit more juice.
And can you immediately apply all 10 or 11 upgrades at once with all 110 gems or do you have to play a certain number or rounds at each upgrade level before you can upgrade them again?
Ended up at 13 power, so 332 yards (?). I came close a few times, but only ever with good wind from the normal tee, so I decided to recycle my clubs in hopes of better luck. First three upgrades came back with only adding one power level and I just didn't care anymore.
I've never lost those. I tried closing the app and reloading. redownloading my cloud save etc when one didn't spawn but it did no good. I always had to wait another 24 hours for the spawn to happen.
I've done it and had no one spawn a few times, then gotten one to spawn. Just seems to be luck of the draw.
I've only had trouble one day where everyone wanted to hit hole-in-ones and eagles. I think the difficulty may be random?
I think you can recycle indefinitely, and power maxes out at 25 so that will be 390 yards max.
It's possible to drive the green then on Alpina #12 with that distance, skipping the water/gazebo guessing game.
I just got the custom clubs
can someone explain/sumamarize the deal with the gems?
.- where do I find them?
.- why is it a pita to farm them?
also,
has anyone tried saving a game to a USB and then uploading again? is it safe or will it screw up the info?
1. Gems are found around holes and also earned from beating challenges. I'm too tired to find the link but somewhere in the last few pages I posted the link to someone else's post about how to calculate the gem hole each day...
yeah I found that gem farming procedure in the playstationtrophies forum.
it seems pretty straightforward and easy to follow to me... why are people complaining about it?
is 20 gems per day too few gems to max the custom club? what's the part that takes too long to do??

I haven't rage quit a game in literally years. Have now wasted 20 hours of my life on this piece of shit condor hunt.
I could've hit this shot 3 times in real life by now.
has it been absolutely, 100% confirmed that condor is only possible on hole 12 alpine course??
I think the game is just too new and people haven't found out ways to get condors in other holes.
I don't believe they made condors exclusive for that hole.

Haha yeah, I don't want to get in that situation. Will complete everything else before even attempting it again.
ok I am slowly gettinge gems.
how exactly should I spend them??
I want the custom club for the condors exclusively, I don't want to use it for anything else.
what level power should I be? should I level up control, backspin and backdoor? or are they useless for this purpose?
If you're going to do alpine 12 for the Condor, you're going to need 355 yards of distance for the front tees. So you're going to need at least 16 points into power. Control and backdoor can help, but the most important thing you need is the distance to get there.
I got them with a club that had 16 power and 9 control.
Gems are found on courses, from fish sometimes, as a prize for winning rank 7 tournaments, and can be a random prize from the lucky chance or bonus course ranked score.
Each 9 hole course has one hole with stuff on it. Currently(until 8pm EDT) the hole locations are:
4 14
6 16
8 18
1 11
3 13
5 15
7 17
The pattern is consistent (+10 from front 9 to back 9, Add 2 for the next course) and when the day changes, just add 1 to everything.
There are 2 gem pick ups each hole with stuff, and you will get 1 or 2 gems per pickup which is random as far as I can tell. You can get 20-30/day depending on if you have the DLC courses or not plus whatever you get from the other sources.
