I don't know. I've been doing a bit of research and it doesn't seem like their spirt bomb it's anyway bigger than marvel's.

I've seen some people tweeting that they paycheck it's going towards Pokken, but I'm 100% sure Marvel also have them.

Unless there are some crazy 10k donators waiting their time to back up Pokken (Or other game), I think Marvel has this.


I wouldn't be surprised if Windjammers gets a boost to get the third place just like someone wanted Nidhogg no to be last (or leave MKX on that spot).

Even if it seems like UMvC3 has this in the bag, we must always remain vigilant. It just seems like the Pokkén guys are pooling their money together for one big batch of donations near the end, so the UMvC3 community should be prepared for it.

To be fair, those two members you tried to prove your points arent Smash players or fans. Please don't be one of blind Melee fans who always acts like only Smash 4 fans that done bad things. There are plenty of people who would consider Marvel anime, and plenty of people who play KOF/BB/GG/KI and even MK/Injustice tend to also play a couple of the other games as well. Its the 3D fighters (SC/TK/TTT/DOA and formerly VF :( ) and Smash/Pokken/3D Arena fighters that seem to have their somewhat separate bubbles but even still it's the same organizers and some of the same fans and players.

But it's all love. I don't think any of those people making fun of other games are doing so maliciously. We all have our preferences. A lot of us just like to see the games we love be played and we all got opinions.

Well Marvel hasn't lost yet so the floodgates are still working. Once the floodgates open, would be a good time to find shelter.

This isn't even close to the salt fest that was up in the first one.

Like not even in the same stratosphere.

People have really short memories. Most of the salt from this passed a week ago, most of Marvel fans and players have concentrated their efforts on raising the money instead of complaining.
 
It seems like holding back a bunch of donations for the end would be a strategically advantageous thing to do...I hope Pokkeners don't do it!
 
As there are nearly only 24 hours left to donate I PMed a mod to change the thread title to reflect that. Hopefully the last 24 hours are gonna be a wild ride, donation wise.

Yup. Honestly, you guys should just treat those comments with a grain of salt, they're pretty much just shitty drive-by postings that are barely better quality than Twitch chat comments.
 
Most people I know don't hate Melee, they hate the playerbase. It's kinda similar to the Souls series where people who hate the Souls game usually do it because of the fanbase not necessarily the games themselves.

Hell we have people in here who say that about Marvel (don't care about the game they hate the playerbase). Pokken on the otherhand doesn't have a defined fanbase that is super vocal so I haven't heard anyone hating specifically on Pokken players.
 
Gonna drop my last bit of cash in support of the Pokken community. Also, fuck y'all with the "Surely its because of Pokemon!" comments; Pokken has a passionate fanbase, and this proves it. I bet none of y'all thought Pokken could actually compete with the Mahvel crowd. And if it wins, it'll be my first Evo competition! I just wanna jump in with my Sceptile.

Good luck to the MvC fanbase, though. I thought y'all were some broke sonsofbitches. Lol.

I read it!

I don't take issue with the utility of them necessarily, it's just a constant stop/start and choppiness to the flow of gameplay that's off-putting.

Yeah based on averages, the average Marvel fan is paying less than the average Pokken fan.

Marvel 3: $58.04 per person average
Pokken: $62.51 per person average


It may not seem like a lot but this amount has caused there to be a close race despite Marvel being ahead by almost a hundred donors.


Marvel 3 about to break $30k right before the 24 hour mark... LET'S GET IT!!!
