Wound up coming up with excuses to skip all my family get togethers today, didn't feel like dealing with any of them. Instead, I ended up going out to the range and eating up a case of ammo for the rifle along with a case of beer and a pile of venison jerky.

Best thanksgiving I have had in years.

My sister brought over some bomb ass, homemade assortment of stuff to eat.

I haven't been in here much. I am still trying to like...break into the inner circle? The inner fakegaf? It doesn't help the OT is in full post-election meltdown either. Ack.

Do people still go physically get into big crowds and push to get into the store first on Black Friday?

I can't think of anything worse. Like I wouldn't do that for a free TV, much less a TV at a discount

going to stores can be fun -- I like going to the mall and dicking around sometimes -- but if I already know exactly what I want it's usually preferable to just buy it online.

Anything good on Steam sale? I looked earlier and didn't see much

Not really. It's about on par with recent Steam sales.

I'm not sure what she is telling him but she did thanksgiving without him this year.

Buying online saves so much time so I just do that.

I'm probably going to buy Doom and Abzu. I picked up dragons dogma earlier

that's a good deal, but I wouldn't go stand in a crowd of aggressive people competing to be the first to grab something for it. I'd do that if, like, the thing we were there for was the antidote following a mass outbreak and I needed it for my child or something. That's about it.

If you can just walk in and get the deal then that sounds like a good idea if you need a 3ds




re. Rise of Tomb Raider, I don't understand how writing this bad makes its way into AAA games in this day and age. How hard could it be to hire writer(s) to write something even somewhat interesting? I do think the game is fun and I like Lara herself, though, which I guess is enough

Yes, it's why I don't go to stores anymore for this. Like I did Black Friday at Target and Walmart years ago and it was terrible, lol.

You live in and enjoy the safety of a society that is able to exist because people who aren't pacifists protect you so you can sit there and say you're a pacifist.
