Fable: Pre-Alpha Gameplay

Man why do these companies insist in making female characters so ugly? Her design is an abomination, there is no way around it

It's fucking ridiculous, I hope we can choose another character or something or that they make a character creator, I am having Mary Jane flashbacks from Spiderman 2 here

Looks cool, I like that monster design and the high-fantasy vibes of the environments.
 
The design of the protagonist is a parody of today's gaming landscape intentionally. Fable is a Comedy. and also has comedians tied to it. Also, don't your actions make the character what they look like?

This game looks amazing.

These games had character creators. They also have a system where your character changes in appearance based on the actions you do in the world. Like if you're evil, your character starts to look more evil.

Edit: as mentioned above, these games are ultimately a parody of the genre. They're fucking hilarious too

I almost wanna give them kudos for being stubborn enough to stick to that character design.... almost.

Honestly though, I don't trust people who think it's a good creative choice to design a character this way to make better creative choices on more substantial things.

8 years is a long time, but if its not ready its not ready. I'll give the studio the benefit of the doubt given they're more accustomed to driving simulators.

It's from a studio that has only developed arcade racers. I'm not expecting great combat. Hopefully it is serviceable, like the Witcher 3. I do agree it looks quite stiff, but hopefully it will get better before release
 
It looks incredible visually. The detail and beauty of the environments is spectacular. Details and characteristics of the Forza Horizon engine are clearly visible. I have no doubt that Playground will deliver.

PS. What a strange and cold way to release new game material without prior notice🙃

I like how the gameplay doesn't look much apart from what we've seen previously. The quality certainly looks to be there.

It looks okay. A bit like Witcher 3. I like that the camera is pulled further back, especially in combat. You can actually see her feet.
 
Looks super good, although by the time it releases we will most probably have seen first footage of The Witcher 4, which will make Fable less impressive I guess

Also, for the fans. Which Fable games are worth playing the most? Except 1, I've already played that one.

Actually i like this trailer, graphics looks very nice. But my ass is less ugly than this character. And my ass is very ugly.

At least a year out as well. Should turn out really nice, hopefully.
 
I'm trying to remember what Fable characters looked like back in the day...or maybe even the cancelled Fable Legends game. I remember being reminded of Pixar films with that one.

I don't necessarily think the MC needs to be drop dead gorgeous given the setting. As long as her story is relatable, I'm ok with this. Fable had a lot of humor. I would imagine an Eve-esque looking character would make it more difficult to pull off that same humor.

One thing that is weird is that there's no choice to play as a male though. That was always an option before, iirc.

I think in the trailer before the last one she looks pretty honestly. There's a shot where she smiles and it's up close. Fable is supposed to be kind of a backwater, rural, farting in the pub origin story kicking chickens. She's not really supposed to look like a supermodel. Just looks normal without makeup or something. But tons of people will disagree and probably flip out, so that's their call.
 
Honestly I'm just glad they kept the chicken kicking in. Wouldnt have surprised me if they kept that out because it "offended" someone. Hopefully the humour from the previous games stays too.
