Factor 5's PS3 game "Lair"

The art looks kinda bad, but overall the all real-time trailers released today give a promising look at what early next-gen gaming should look like. Definitely does seem like the leap from PS1->PS2 at this point.

Cool teaser. Personally, I dig the dragon models/animation. But I'm still stumped on what kind of gameplay to expect.
 
Looks pretty nice actually. The dragoon in the beginning of the trailer looks like something out of a nVidia tech demo, only this will be a game. Great! :)

Cant wait to see more.
I wish Sony would release high-res images of these games (Lair, RE5 etc)

Seriously though, the animation looked awful... like bad puppetry. Real time? Next time just show CG.
 
the dragons look like they're from the ray harrihausen school of effects!

not impressed so far, it's factor 5 so it could go either way.
 
The slime or whatever on those dragons did make them look very plastic-like...Reminded me of watching one of the old school Godzilla movies. :lol

Not too excited about that one quite yet...
 
Change a X-wing by a dragon and you´ll have Lair . Factor 5 always do the best tech demos just like Rogue Leader

If they had shown more than a bunch of rubber dragons flying in straight lines (and two briefly rolling around) I'd be more impressed
 
looks OK, but why do all Factor 5 games seem to have no backdrops / backgrounds?? Everything is set against black space...

Man, I still can't believe how good the Rogue Squadron games look on GC to this day. Factor 5 really are technical wizards.
 
man fuck.... call me fanboy but graphics like this make me believe PS3 is more powerful than Xbox 360.

I think this is going to be a Panzer Dragoon clone! But instead of shooting the enemies with laser weapons in this the dragon will simply eat the other dragons! anyone else agree? lol

If you're talking raw processing power, it technically is.

I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that the average PS3 game will look slightly better than the average Xbox 360 game, not unlike the PS2-Xbox difference we have today.

i was talking in general. ps3 games will look better than xbox 360 games. some with small diffrence some without.. i have yet to see any xbox 360 game that look as close to this video.
 
nice tech demo styled trailer. i still kinda wish they had one more go at nailing starwars, especially now all the sequels are out there.

but nice muscle movement on the dragons going on.

i can see this being rogue squaren with dragons, or a panzaar dragon style shooter. we'll see.
 
It doesn't look more impresive then the massive ork battle in Kameo where they also renderd a whole landscape.....but this does look good.

I only don't see the power over X360...realy.
