maybe some of you haven't heard of this top notch band (as they are broken up now and have been for sometime), but i encourage you to check them out. i just ran across this "new" release http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/failuredvd (which has actually been out since september but i must have missed it).

anyways, failure's influence and connections are far-reaching. everyone from tool to queens of the stoneage (and many other bands) have either had members of failure play with them or open for them or something. the band is/was incredible. ken andrews (who was one of the founding members) has put out some pretty good stuff post-failure as well (check it out @ www.kenandrews.com)

i can recommend the following songs as true classics:

the nurse who loved me, enjoy the silence (awesome DM cover), another space song, blank, segue 3 (one of my favorite instrumentals ever), solaris, daylight, leo, and perhaps their most "well known" song stuck on you

so check them out ladies, the odds are you will enjoy it if you enjoy good music

p.s. please no one say "keke i thought this was a thread about the 49ers upcoming season!" or anything anti-49ers. thanks!

Failure rocks and it is a shame that I missed the lead singer's new band "Year of the Rabbit" when they toured with A Perfect Cirlce last year.

I started listening to them when I saw them in concert with Local H a really long time ago. Great band. Check them out of you haven't already.

I love Failure. Magnified is a good album (notable songs - Empty Friends, Magnified, and Small Crimes). Fantastic Planet is fucking amazing. YotR isn't bad, either. It's not quite as good, but it's definitely grungey and Failure-esque, and I do love the sound of Ken Andrew's voice.

So you're on the right, giving the thumbs up, and your girl is on the left?
She's sad because I'm not by her side. If only I lived on the west coast!
