Haven't seen the later episodes but I can confidently say that episode 4 was the peak of OniAi. I doubt the remaining episodes can top it.

HAYATE NO GOTOKU S3 - 07
WHAT the heck ?
Well for starters this episode gave me fruther hint that it's set LATE in the hayate no gotoku universe in term of story .. for proof sakuya hair in this episode now join the long list of hints this season provided for me to understand how it fits in the manga chronology..
Since the greek manga arc isumi became one of my favorites characters and i was glad that she acted ..she moved the plot forward a little ... GO Isumi ! If you get lost i'll gladly help you
Now that we know that the black camelia is
i guess it's easy now to predict how they will solve all this in the end.
The only thing i trully enjoy in this season is the ending song & animation

Still baffled how people have S;G > R;N, the music in this and just the suspense is really on point. Ignoring Aki the cast are quite good, and I continually love everything the girls either say or imagine, if Subaru would sleep in Yashio's rooms, and boys with megane are moe!
But for the story at hand it is really good all plot lines
Yashio and that building that he is exploring now with murder and mysterious science behind it is actually keeping me really glue to the screen at times. I hope he starts to get a few glimpses in terms of answers soon. The storekeeper is clearly keeping information and I wonder if it ties back to those that seem to be keeping tabs on him. For Subaru and his father issues, it was really touching and emotional there with the idea that one would cast away their dreams, it really made me see him in a new light and well I can get behind him and support him, if he can only realize he needs to follow his dreams regardless of his father.

Frau is by far the most entertaining character of the season. Most hikkikomori characters don't truly represent that kind of person. They're essentially normal people that just stat at home and like anime/manga/video games.
But Frau, she's flat out nuts. She's awkward and likely bipolar. It's great!

Nice. Trigger definitely looks the best there, but I have high hopes for Madhouse's short too. Those are the two most interesting ones. Yoshinari does a great job with the character designs and how they animate though. Can't wait!

I'm not sure what is going on with the production of this show, but this episode was really really bad. The art is downright hideous, tons of offmodel character art, etc. Oddly the animation is ok in spots, but many scenes are lacking animation or are still shots. Ugly backgrounds. Lazy ass direction. Bad

Weird, I feel the complete opposite about it. I love the art in the episode. It had a really nice look most of the time, even if it's not consistent throughout the episode. The scene with Saki looking at Shun from behind the tree was fantastic. One of the best animation cuts in the series so far. I enjoyed the episode so much more than the last 3.
...why are they using an orchestral version of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" as the trailer music?

yeah, something was seriously wrong with this episode. I went back and watched first 2 episodes quickly right after, the nose dive in production must be the biggest in this season.

The two past years of Anime Mirai have followed a pattern of 2 really good shorts and 2 merely OK ones, and it looks like this will be the same. The lively character animation in Academia is really a joy to behold. Should be a lot of fun. I also like the character designs in Death Billiards and, well, with a title like that there's certainly some potential.
I like to tempt fate from time to time and I know I'm not the only one!

Also, there's another annual? Rightstuf update on the ANNCast. I'm still listening to it, but one interesting tidbit is that they have been working for over 9 years to get the Rose of Versailles license.
Apparently Dirty Pair and Nadesico have done well for them, as well as Ristorante Paradiso. I almost wonder how people will take to Aoi Hana. lol
From the New World - Episode 8
Some of you have pointed out that the episode looks really bad. This confuses me, because I can't agree with that sentiment at all. I definitely thought the last 3 episodes were pretty bad, and episode 6 in particular looked really awful. But I thought this episode looked great. There are a lot of creative layouts and the scenes are directed well. The character art shows off the new older designs really well, and they're more fluid, they look more attractive, and there's some great character motion throughout the episode.
I think this was a really effective reintroduction to a new arc in the story after the events of the previous story arc. The writing and direction was cohesive, and more importantly - it was interesting. The character dynamics have changed a lot in 2 years, and they do a good job of portraying that. I really liked that scene with Saki behind the tree with the dog. The scene of her running later was really nice too. Overall the most attractive part of the episode was the color design, which really popped out giving the visuals lots of life after the flat and dead feeling the last 3 episodes had.

First part of the episode was so good, second best episode so far (first is the satoru showcase of past episodes), my otp being canon was like kind of a wish come true, should have kept going even, shirt was even opened somehow. Enjoyed the whole scene and just the many little moments throughout.

Why do people make it seem like Shun died or something, I think he just left to avoid being punished or maybe was banished or something, ultimately punishment must be catching up to the others. It was interesting how the most powerful cantus user was interested so much in Satoru, but then that moment with power distortion around Shun, what was that, was it Shun or the dudes doing.
This wait hurts.
"Not consistent" is probably an understatement. The scene you mentioned is one of the few bright spots.

Oh god... they really did it... holy shit.
I guess what doesn't bother me is that while the art is not consistent from scene to scene, each scene in itself looks good, and I find the different applications of the designs to be attractive enough not to be bothered by in. In comparison, I found many of the scenes in the last few episodes to be really just kinda ugly and awful. So even if they were consistent, they were just consistently awful. Here it's not consistent at all, but it's pretty much all appealing to me in terms of how the art actually looks. If that makes sense.
Yea Shinsekai-8 looked horrible this week. Like the composition was damn near nonexistent.
Also there was a total lack of background animation via the clouds and man did it stick out.
This scene completely threw me out of the moment. I mean the dog looks like he doesn't even belong in the scene.

The art was better in the Yamauchi ep and episodes prior to that, where there was plenty of good background art to be seen. Its been diving since episode 4. This felt more like the evolution of the shittiness of 6 and 7 to me.
