Got my Pip Boy PS4 edition pre-order in. I'd rather do Gamestop and do in store pick up, but just in case I miss getting it there I'll just wait for Amazon.

So I paused during the SPECIAL point allocation on the first video, and all Intelligence says is 'affects mental acuity' (possibly dialogue options?) and 'number of experience points earned'.

No mention of skill points. Could be they're rolled into perks.

It may be a combination of the two, along the lines of Skyrim (where perks are unlocked via core skill progression). Previously a lot of perks had pre-requisites anyway, so it wouldn't be an enormous departure so long as there are still perks you can unlock through SPECIAL and general level requirements as well.

Yeah I was thinking as I watched the presentation how weird it was to hear your character talk. It's kind of jarring but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

LOL this is what happened with my wife. She is a big Fallout fan so I ordered her copy. But then I quickly decided to get one for myself as well because I knew we couldn't share it Whatever reservations I have about what was shown, it's fuckin Fallout and a Pip Boy! And it's out this year!

Yeah anytime you want to. There will be an authorization charge to your card to see if it's active. Then it drops off.
