Fallout 4 - Multiple E3 Gameplay Demos, Releasing November 10th, 2015

You seriously think there's as much demand for a Pip-Boy edition as there was the Majora's Mask 3DS?

Taking no chances you can always cancel.

Ordered all 3 see if they rare later worst scenario you sell to a GAFer who missed out tonight and just change the shipping info.

Congrats to all you scored a Best Buy PS4 copy with discount. I got a XB1 & PC there and PS4 for my personal copy safety blanket from Amazon. Order them all now figure it out later :)

Sold out already. The thirst is real.

Excuse me for not quite understanding lol. So, like Amazon? Or?

They basically ping your card to see if you have enough money there to buy it. They do this periodically until the game is out. If your card doesn't have enough money when they check, they cancel your order.

So, you pretty much need to have at least the amount of money in your account until the game comes out.

Wow. I just preordered the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition for PS4 and I DON'T EVEN OWN A PS4 YET!!

I was going to wait until No Man's Sky before I upgrade, but I just got into the Fallout universe recently. I started playing Fallout 3 GOTY this month and I've been completely addicted to it. I wasn't going to go all in for Fallout 4 but man, ever since I started playing Fallout 3 I've wanted a Pip-Boy. I even had plans to buy a 3D printed replica once I could find someone to make it for me but this E3 conference changed all of that.

I completed the main story in Fallout 3 and now I'm going through the GOTY content. Should I play Fallout: New Vegas? I've heard mixed reviews, should I skip it?
You should absolutely play it.

The gunplay looks so much better this time around, and I'm digging the new VATs. And damn, that making a settlement thing looks awesome.
Managed preorder the pipboy edition for ps4, hope it fits my nexus 5.

It kinda isn't, since if it's anything like their prior games, XP gains will be plentiful enough to hit level cap long before the endgame. Even without any INT bonuses.

Entirely depends on how the Intelligence stat affects it. If it's just a scale of +/-10% percent with each rank them yeah no big deal even at 1 you'll get 60% of exp if 5 constitutes the average and anything about equals bonus and below equals penalty. But if they scale it differently where anything less than the average 5 reduces exp alot say 20% then that is a bit more meaningful. Then every rank above 5 being 3-5% would have it's advantage but not be too over powered.

I LOVE the weapon customization. I just hope we'll still have an assortment of unique weapons to find, however.

Also, I love the look of the hostile Androids. They look decayed and rundown, but equally threatening.

SORRY FOR POSTING BAD INFO

I coulda swore BB doesn't authorize right away. I never really use my BB credit card so I never paid much attention. Best Buy authorized me $101.75 x 2 for my 2 preorders.

Amazon is the way to go if you don't have $ now.

From the animation and the way some of the characters look, I can see the "doesn't look next-gen" comments... but the scope and customization options look like a pretty big leap forward. Ultimately, I'd rather have them put more into having next-gen gameplay than graphics.

Well played Bethesda, the settlement stuff was not what I was expecting, but I now need it in my life, so the Pipboy edition is preordered.

It looks... ok? I don't really get what we saw here that made everyone forget their previous reservations.
The environments continue to look amazing, animation and character models are bad, combat looks the same, and as a whole there was nothing really to differentiate it from the previous Fallout.
I guess the only thing is them building on crafting and loot, but personally nothing is more boring to me in an RPG, especially when the combat is so unsatisfying.
Oh and you can build a home or whatever but why would you want to stay in one place in this game.

Quite common for Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3/NV players. At least, i think it is. House mods are popular...
They're not really RPGs anymore, they're more like action-life-lite-simulators...

Amazon Canada said it'll be up for sale within the next 12 hours and "guaranteed" that it won't sell out by 10 am tomorrow. So I'll have to go back and complain tomorrow morning when it's sold out I guess.

I'm glad to see them make the switch to a voiced main protagonist. Not really a fan of the silent protagonist, especially in an RPG. I think the only game I've played in recent memory that pulls off that mechanic well are the Persona games (and to be honest, I can't point my finger to what exactly makes it flow so well in those games). For just about everything else though, I definitely like my character having an actual voice while engaging with NPC's, and not some "implied speech" after clicking a dialogue choice.

I'm also curious what role the family will play in the game. One would think that the ability to customize your husband/wife and your child would have some meaningful impact beyond the first hour of gameplay, but I wonder how much of the plot will be dedicated to finding them vs them being involved in the story early on. Looking forward to playing the game and finding out.

It could also be interesting if XP wasn't just a way to gain levels, but you could also spend it to purchase something. Like, say the old skills that now seem to be on a rank system; if the regular perks would be entirely separate from those (and still gained upon leveling up), and you could buy the skill ranks. That'd make XP gains - and intelligence - a lot more valuable and with imminent rewards instead of just a level here and there.

But guess we'll just have to wait and get more details on the mechanics - I hope they do touch on the skill/perk system now in next week's panels (there was one with all the BGS lead developers and Todd Howard).

Do you think they will include anything cool in the game box like Witcher 3? It's my deciding factor on whether to get the digital version or physical.

I am very concerned about how dialogue works. I only watched the first video so far, but they can't have possibly limited dialogue to 4 choices per conversation, right?

I hope the layered armor system makes it's way back over to the Elder Scrolls for their next game. Missed that from Morrowind (and, to some extend, Daggerfall's even more extensive system). Skyrim's simplistic armor system blew chunks.

You always need a base to dump off all the random shit you pick up.

Bethesda game... it is not like the dialogue's going to be good in the first place, me thinks.
It is an Action RPG, with emphasis on Action. Most likely.

Will other games delay because of this? When is Assassins Creed coming out? Probably in same week as Tomb Raider.

Really looking forward to this. Big bummer regarding the protagonist being voiced, wonder how hard the roleplaying restrictions will hit as a consequence. Bioware games turned to shit after it was introduced, here's hoping the same won't happen to Beth.

Really excited for the whole crafting system, both the camp and equipment and I really like how now most of the clutter items will have actual purpose as it should make scavenging a much more rewarding experience. The visuals looks pretty good too, especially the design side and I'm really happy that there seems to so much more variation in the environments than we had with FO3 or FNV, heck it even seems like they more distinct areas than Skyrim (which to be honest is not too surprising, but great to see still).
