Man I wish people would learn to be patient. This happens every time a hard to get highly anticipated item comes out. People get paranoid and screw themselves when Amazon can ship as late as the night before it's supposed to arrive. Making any changes to your order at Amazon risks it being cancelled or put at the end of the line even if it's just a shipping method change. Just be patient and leave it alone. Amazon usually gets it on time more often than not.

Nice. Mine is still scheduled to be dispatched today.
I live in Alaska, if they are doing release day delivery for me it would have shipped by now. And instead I get a free game because they oversold.

I ordered mine in June. Received a conformation email. Haven't received an email saying its shipped or a tracking number. Gaf please reassure me I'll get it on the 10th.

I don't know if this info is of value but, my brother ordered his from Amazon on June 14th and it has already shipped with a delivery date of tomorrow.
So, my order shipped around 7 PM EST on Sunday night (it's now 6 AM EST Monday as of posting) and the tracking hasn't updated. The one I bought for my brother still hasn't shipped but he's a few states away so that may be why.
Now checking amazon it shows the usual arriving Tuesday by 8 PM
But when I click the track package link from the email confirmation I'm greeted with an estimate of Wednesday by 8 PM? I'll be pissed after paying extra for release day shipping (which worked for MGS collector's edition)

People who ordered from bestbuy.com, report in when yours ships! Ordered mine on June 15th, still in "preparing."
I've had them ship two days before release before but never the day before. Granted I have only been using them for about five months. If I don't get this on Tuesday it will put a serious dent in my plans since I am off work this week.

Literally going through the exact same thing myself. Seems like UPS might be the one screwing up. Holding to hope that Amazon is the most correct source
Otherwise, that just straight up sucks!

Same here. Bought one on Best Buy for a buddy of mine, and one on Amazon for me. Moved 2 weeks later. Realized Friday Best Buy had the wrong address, but they told me it was too late to change it. And I just realized Amazon has the wrong address too.
If you're Amazon US, that's the norm.
All of my "Release Day" games shipped the day before from Amazon.
Halo 5 shipped on Monday evening even...and it was at my house by noon the next day.

This happened to me. I chatted with Amazon and they 'bumped" my delivery to one day shipping for free.

Tbh, my hype has gone from 100 to 0 in the last two days and mostly because of me being obsessed with the threads here.
Last couple of months the quality of their reps has left something to be desired. They've told me that kind of thing before only of course to be wrong. They may give you free shipping (if you paid for shipping) or a partial discount.
Damn, that's never a good idea. You want to go in at least 95% fresh with very little expectations! I've barely looked at anything and I'm still extremely hyped.
Mine says Preparing to Ship finally, but I feel like it's impossible to make it to my place by tomorrow at this point :/
And yet I'm on the phone with a rep trying to tell me it's arriving Thursday because of two day shipping. Prime is supposed to be release day shipping.

Mine I don't think has shipped or it is in the process... but it is enough in the process that I have to request a cancellation rather than being able to cancel it. And they have at least a pending charge on my credit card. Never been so happy to see almost 200 dollars charged on my credit card (I also ordered the collector's edition of the guide).
If they slipped up and it doesn't arrive tomorrow I think I'll just buy it at Target and bitch at Amazon that they promised release day and I had to go buy it again to play release day and see if they can't give me a small credit for the money I'll be out (I'm sure I can reselll the copy for 45+ dollars). But I am not going to wait til Wednsday to install the game (I took two days off and even made them wedn and thurs so I could fully enjoy the game without waiting for installing and arriving).

Woke up this morning to see my delivery date had been changed to Thursday. Immediately went on chat with a rep who told me there was an error going on with their delivery estimate. She bumped me up to one day shipping and reassured me once more that it would be here tomorrow. Now on my order page the delivery date is tomorrow and I just got charged and it currently says shipping now.
This drives up the wall because I spoke to a supervisor after I have already had four shipping problems this year and was told that I was just at the end of the line and there was nothing that could be done. No shipping bump, no reassurance of any kind.
I'm done with Amazon after this.
