Fallout 4 - Reviews thread

This is a gaming enthusiast forum. I'm not going to roleplay as the average Joe.

FALLOUT 4 DETRACTOR DOESN'T EVEN LIKE ROLEPLAYING.

If you have the game pre-loaded, you can VPN to another region and play now

I was being sarcastic to poke fun at people speaking as if they have played the game, but thanks for pointing out something I had no idea about! Might get to play once Im home then :-)

Quick question (and maybe this isn't the place to ask): Deciding between Ps4 and PC, but my PC is getting a bit old. While the graphics card should be fine (R9 280x) my CPU is an AMD Phenom 2 X6 1055t from 2010. 8gb of 1333 RAM.

Should I go PC on this, or Ps4?

Wait....does that technically mean that GTA V was the best reviewed game three years in a row?

Man, Rockstar is swimming in that money even more than usual.

GTA V doesn't count as it's a Remaster not a new game built from the ground up for next gen. MGS V is a new next gen game and remains the best reviewed game of the year and will rake in the awards come January.

I wish F4 would have taken a Mad Max route and made everything really nuts while still keeping a dismal Fallout-style atmosphere.

Reading reviews the PC version seems pretty decent. I mean Witcher 3 was buggy as hell on release but still very much playable and that had a lot less interactions with the world. Yet people here seem to be compatible games 6 months from release to a game that offiicially releasing tomorrow in US.

"everything in Fallout 4 feels more carefully crafted and stuffed with intrigue than the games that came before it"

That's word for word EXACTLY what I wanted to hear Gametrailers. Hype up.

From the EG review (Xbox One version):

More troubling still, I've suffered an appalling frame rate that plummets to what appear to be single figures during moments of intense action, and lengthy pauses while the game hangs and decides if it wants to continue or not. I've only suffered one fatal crash in over 50 hours of play, but that's not really a record worth celebrating. Experience tells me that with any Bethesda RPG, such issues tend to get worse over time, as your save file balloons, rather than better.

Their rating: Recommended.

Apparently, only Bethesda can get away with stuff like this.

I may have to bust out this badboy for long sessions on PS4.

The poor PS4 controller is going to have a bad time. Alternatively I guess I could switch between my other charged ones, but it feels weird to switch controllers halfway through a session. Then the controller is cold. lol

Witcher 3 didn't have a lot of interactions? You just couldn't engage conversation options with every single person you cam across. But there were a lot of thing's you could do to npc's.

He was more honest than almost any critic with MGSV. Say what you will about his attitude or shitty ability at games, but his reviews are actually surprisingly on point.

His Splatoon review was a major piece of garbage and I avoid his toxic personality in general.
