Fallout 4's release date listed as 2015 on the Bethesda store, GMG, Amazon, GS, EB

You know what would be amazing? If they announced the release day on the release date.

I mean imagine that? They have a big showing at E3, then at the end they say "You can buy and play fallout 4....now."

I always wondered why no one has tried a release like that, I mean a series like this is going to sell PERIOD, so why not generate amazing excitement/hype by doing a super huge surprise release like that? Totally blow everyone's socks off.

And losing all the juicy pre-orders? Never ever gonna happen with a big AAA game

Damn, could be the best year ever for RPGs.

Pillars of Eternity, Bloodborne, Witcher 3, X, and Fallout 4. Just need Atlus to come through with a NA release of Persona 5 this year.

Damn son, this years race to GOTY is going to be a massacre, hell it's already looking bloody with just BB and W3.
Bloodborne, Witcher 3, MGS V, (Possibly) Fallout 4, (Possibly) Persona 5, (Possibly) Arkham Knight, (Possibly) Rise of Tomb Raider and Halo 5.

Will all lose to Yakuza 5 :3.
Xenoblade, Splatoon, Cities Skylines, and some other stuff too

If Persona 5 comes out this fall, I'm gonna flip shit.

MGS V, Fallout 4, and P5 alone could last me a very, very long time.

Must admit if they are showing gameplay at E3 i expect the game will be ready to ship this year and likely November, fits in since there has not been a Beth studios game since Skyrim November 2011.

This year's GOTY race is going to be tight.
Yeah, if everything comes out in 2015 and meets expectations, it could be one of those years where 7, 8 games get an even split of the media awards. Unless one happens to blow them all out of the water, which is a crazy thought considering Bloodborne and Witcher 3 have set the bar awfully high. Deus Ex can't possibly be coming out this year too, can it?

2016 almost certainly. If it is this year, I'd be shocked.

Well, it's not a game, but Sega did try that with the Saturn.

Yeah, it didn't end well. Sure it wouldn't be the same exact story with a game instead of a full console, but I think this is one of those impractical fanboy dreams that sounds awesome on paper, but when you think about it, is not a good idea at all.

Isn't Todd Howard's team generally pretty good at hitting dates? If they announce it for 2015 I'd be pretty surprised if it got delayed.

Skyrim was announced for 11/11/11 well in advance and they hit it. Judging from the entirely ingame trailer with no bullshot 'in engine' graphics, I'd say they are very far along in development.

They've changed it, now it's only "TBA" http://store.bethsoft.com/fallout-4.html

Yeah, with Domino's Pizza UK twitter already posting a x-promotion tweet, it seemed like the stars were aligning for a 2015 release. Fallout has traditionally been a September/October release-- even during the Black Isle/Interplay days, and both FO3 & NV were late October games. If it is coming this fall, October would keep with that. September is front-loaded with Mad Max and MGSV, and late October has Ubi games, but it could easily release in between those or even in the last week of October. A Bethesda RPG would be a welcome choice amidst Ubi games (AC & R6) in October, and CoD & Battlefront in November.
