so if I'm reading it right the PS2 saw a 600,000 (75%) unit drop in total software sales? It's been a very very long road but it looks like 2012 may be the year it finally stops selling entirely.
Three new releases charted for PS2 on a weekly basis in 2011.

I'm not sure how many games were released and didn't chart, but given how shitty software sales were in general, you'd have to REALLY tank not to chart on week one. By contrast, 37 charted in 2010.
I'm not sure when catalog sales will 100% stop as in 0 units--the PS1 and GBA have still showed up periodically in the Top 500 charts for the last few years--but the PS2 was totally dead in any meaningful way for 2011
