Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of June 6, 2022 to June 12, 2022.
The Switch version of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles was the highest selling new release last week, opening at 90,885 retail copies sold, which is particularly strong performance for a late port. It originally launched back in October 2021 to 94,849 units sold on PlayStation 4 and 20,187 units sold on PlayStation 5.
Mario Strikers: Battle League was the second highest selling new release, moving 32,173 units.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 58,436 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 12,440 units, the Xbox Series family sold 6,242 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 78 units. Next-generation consoles continue to face stock issues.
