Oh wow, does that mean nearly half the sales were digital? Quite a high adoption rate for digital in Japan.

We are having a Switch pizza this week!

And Splatoon did about 44% of its sales on the eshop(digital). Just confirms what me and others have been saying: About half of first party games sales must be comming from digital.

Which means that games like XC 3 must be around double of what it did physically in japan(so around 300k in japan alone, in only a month)

I would not bet against it, the holiday period is traditionally a strong one for Nintendo and with a new Pokemon game.

There would need to be a big downturn for Switch not to sell 20 million in 2022, it's on pace for around 22 million. Holiday Q4 sales alone have been at least 10.5 million in the last three years.

That was shipped plus digital sales, this is boxed sales at stores. This of course means Splatoon 3 had around 1.5 million digital sales.
