Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time |OT| Level-5 Dragon Crossing Stardew Fantasy XIV

Now Switch software reminds me of this with Switch 2 looming:
Al Pacino GIF

Was gonna grab it on the Switch and then upgrade to switch 2. As I am unsure if I will get my system..I bought it on Steam and will just play it on the Legion Go

Spending all this time to make it, delaying it constantly, and NOT having a Switch 2 version ready for launch is the most Level-5 thing ever. This company always finds ways to fuck their own games over.

For the record, what I'm saying is this games hype is probably being sucked away by Switch 2 launching a week later and Level 5 is missing the boat. It's inexcusable considering how they are a heavily Japanese focused studio.

With that said, I'll be there day one when it launches on Switch 2.

Heard they had to rework the whole game because Inafune is an absolute hack. :goog_relieved:

Bad timing for sure, but I think it's fine. Game's doing amazingly well on PC and I bet a lot of people will get this for their Switch 2. None of it's launch games appeals to the same niche as this game, imo.

No physical on switch is preventing me of buying. What were they thinking ? It could have been the perfect game to release a special edition.
That's where I'm at. I'm really resisting the urge to double-dip on PC and Switch, but neither is a great option since PC has weird kernel-level access and Switch / PS5 is digital only. It's like they really don't want me to buy this game since I'm having to decide on the least bad option.

I caved and picked it up last night. Played through all the tutorials for the available classes (farmer and artist are locked at the outset). It's cute and has a plucky/upbeat attitude. The only negative so far is the music which I'm finding dull and forgettable.

Sounds like a good podcast game to me.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but Japan got physical copies that are region free and have English on the disk / cart.

To anyone wondering, the GameBootstrapper.ini file can be modified to bypass Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC).

Code:
ApplicationPath=Game\Binaries\Win64\NFL1-Win64-Shipping.exe
WorkingDirectory=
WaitForExit=0
NoOperation=0

Replace the contents of the GameBootstrapper.ini file (located in the root folder of the game install - e.g. "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FANTASY LIFE i\GameBootstrapper.ini") with the above, and no more EAC.

With this in mind, I did end up purchasing the game.

What are the chances one gets banned from Steam when bypassing the EAC?

Does it still get installed (along with the game), or do you make these changes before launching the first time and then Easy Anti-Cheat never gets installed?

0%. This game doesn't use VAC.

Does it still get installed (along with the game), or do you make these changes before launching the first time and then Easy Anti-Cheat never gets installed?

As long as you do this before the first run, EAC isn't even getting installed. This bypasses the EACLauncher.exe section which would call the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe.

Will this game help me in finally getting a life? :goog_relieved:

Nah but really, been checking the game out since yesterday and I'm quite hyped about it. Cleared the game I was currently playing so I'm ready to dive into this grinding rabbit hole.

I've heard people are getting banned from online for using these so if you have any plan to play online I wouldn't.

Good to know. This is probably also true of IFireflyl IFireflyl 's anti-anti-cheat above.

The codes are easy to see if someone is redeeming them. The EAC bypass is just launching the game directly instead of going through the EACLauncher.exe first. It's possible that going online with EAC disabled could cause bans, but if you're just staying in your solo world it shouldn't be detectable.

Nintendo was handling the physical release in the West as part of the exclusivity agreement.

When that ended, Nintendo was no longer interested in helping a physical launch.

There is a physical but only for japan however the japanese version has full english in there as well.
The only issue is that, while you can play the JP version on an NA/EU Switch in English, some Switch games are locked to their region's online store (or rather, each region has a different version of the game, and each region's store only services that version).

So for any DLC/Switch 2 upgrades, you might be out of luck. It just depends. Some imported games don't care (they're all the same version regardless of region). Probably best to wait for first-hand reports.

Yaah that's true if you try to buy any dlc it'll try to take you to the jpn eshop same with english games on a jpn account. Not sure what DLC fantasy life uses but i think there is some as the game when you order it comes with some extra DLC as a preorder bonus on amazon japan.

Probably wouldn't be an issue if you want to play offline but yeah sometimes they don;t let regions mix when it comes to the mulitiplayer stuff. especially local multiplayer with people connectig with different region carts.

I broke down and ordered the Japanese import, so I'll be in this camp. Will definitely want to upgrade to Switch 2 when that becomes a thing, so I'll let you guys know if I'm able to or not.

No midnight launch
Prolly because all those fucking bullshit early access more expensive versions 😂

Normally switch games just work midnight 😂

Anyone playing this early? How is it so far if dipped on the deluxe version?
Nope, I'll jump in tomorrow after work. Been reading some threads on 4chan tho and people seem to be really loving the game, claiming is a step up from the 3DS one in every aspect, specially when it comes to QOL features.

That, plus the game apparently selling like hot cakes on Steam have me really excited.

Hope it runs well on the deck then. Will be out of town for the switch launch so deck it is!

Oh...it has cross save too? Insta-buy....I just read the OP again, that's great in my case.

Some dude on Steam says it runs at 60 maxed out but I've also read some people turning down a few settings to keep that framerate.

It's a game that has to run on the Switch, so I'd assume it runs from nice to great on the Deck.

Seems like it runs between 45-60 on high settings. General recommendation is to either drop down to medium for the solid 60fps or limit to 40fps on high.

I caved in aswell, ah well what use is money if not to have a good time. 😋

Watched some gameplay and looks like just the kind of game I'm in the mood for right now.

Can't wait to start enjoying some top tier laid-back grinding tomorrow.

I'm about 12 hours in. Outside of Layton, Level 5 games have never been my jam. I'm not sure this one will change my mind. There is a lot to this game, but a lot of it feels "cheap" and really has me pinning for the next Animal Crossing. Not that this is a bad game, but after my initial time with the game, I can only handle it in short bursts.

Any impressions on the Xbox version?

I don't have a PS5, and getting this on the Switch 1 seems imprudent. I plan to get the Switch 2 but do not have it pre-ordered. I expect it will be half a year or more when it becomes available, given the demand.

I know this isn't a western release...but at least it is localized and includes English.

They have the switch version as well but I don't know the multi-player implications.

Switch and Xbox versions didn't have "advanced access", so they won't release until tomorrow.

Also weird that there are almost no reviews for this game - did it have a weird launch day embargo or something?

Got about 4 hours on the Legion Go. Runs perfectly fine. I switched between the Go and my pc and don't notice anything different.

I was originally going to wait and pick it up on the switch..and then upgrade to switch 2. But I couldn't wait.

Overall, I am really liking it. I never played the previous title. Seems like there is ALOT to do.

My only complaint is the tutorials sections and some of the quests. There's quite a few where you need to just run around the map and exxhange a line of dialog and then run somewhere else. I assume it's to get familiar with the layout of the land.

Besides that the mood of the game is great. Very happy so far.

I've played about 5 or 6 hours tonight on PS5 and I'm loving it. I've been waiting so long for this game to come out and kept track all of the delays and now that it's here it's just came at the perfect time for me.

It's a great palette cleanser after Clair Obscur Expedition 33, which will probably still be my game of the year but it's nice to play something cozy and light hearted after the melancholy slog that Expedition 33 was.
