FarCry 7 will have "the multiplayer aspects more predominantly pushed."

They can fuck off then. Nobody asked for this. Then again, while I had fun with 6, it was a far cry from what made FarCry, FarCry.

Boys are Ubi shorts really going to print again next year? I know I advertise them a lot here, but I never put more than 5 grand into one. I'm gonna try and grow some balls if news like this about Far Cry 7 keeps up.

Nowhere in that statement it is claimed that Far Cry 7 would have a bigger focus on multiplayer. They're talking about the franchise in broad terms.

And with that in mind, it makes perfect sense, as there is also a Far Cry extraction shooter in development, likely Ubisoft's biggest bet in that space -- similar to Sony's monumental investment into the genre across both Fairgames and Marathon -- with the aim of achieving R6 Siege-levels of market penetration long-term.

Well... its unfortunate because I'm one of the dozen people who really liked 6 but I din't really care the multiplayer aspect of it (other that the coop trophies needed for platinum).
So I will skip this one sadly if true..

Is this to make more money off mtx's because of Ubisoft not selling games, i played the first 5 Far Cry's, i didn't want to play 6 and don't want to play MP shooters, i'm sure some will but it sounds like they want a COD clone to me if this is true.

Far Cry always has this tacked on barely working co-op that sometimes it adds to the experience and sometimes it's crap, adding and forcing it to be more MP focused because they want to get more "gaas-lite" kind of experience and mtx money will only make the game worse, not every game can be The Division and get away with it, Ubislop, be real...

My first thought at there being a 7th Far Cry is basically just exhaustion. Not that I even play these games anymore, but it's like... "why aren't you learning anything, Ubi?"

Pushing the multiplayer as a bigger part of the game would be the perfect way to capitalize on a failing creative business.

I never played the MP mode of any Far Cry, but didn't they already have a MP? As far as I remember minimum at least some of them had coop.

That is exactly what this is. That's what Sony was chasing too this gen.
No, none of the Sony games is a CoD clone

Guess I'm good on FC7 then. Seriously haven't enjoyed any of them really since 4, even though 5 had an amazing setting and one of the best OSTs in the past decade.

There's still no better combat music than this to me. To be in a shootout with this blasting just sends you to another world. When that fuzzy bass kicks in towards the end, I ALWAYS get hard.

I am not even being funny when I say this, but I will wait for reports from people who natively read, write, and speak English about anything. I do not consider translations with poor grammar as reliable information. The context is not at all accounted for.

Going from the various leaks that have surfaced about it over the years, I get the feeling that Far Cry 7 might scratch an certain itch for you -- a fellow Mafia III enjoyer.

The game just needs to get this vibe right:
