Fate, the best damn diablo rip off ever and it has the most retarded purchasing system ever. First of all they install retarded "spyware" that gets computer data, which can easily be gained by a simple registration form asking for it, yet they choose a method of running something in the background? WHY? Then there is the issue of being only able to unlock the game three times. I wish they just sold it as a regular game, it is worth $50.

it doesn't have spyware, it just uses whatever program for installation.

The demo installer does set up some cdaengineXX.dll to be runDLL'ed at every startup, as something like Startup Monitor, when resident during the install, will show. The demo still works if you prevent that. Google for "cdaengine" brings up pages suggesting it's spyware, but they are very light on details.

The game does seem like a pretty good Diablo ripoff, though, from the demo levels I played. Shameless, but solid.

Edit: If what WildTangent claims on their website is true, the cdaengine thing is pretty innocuous.

One of the developers on the game said that the cdaengine.dll thing is only used for auto-updating. If you turn off auto-updating, you shouldn't see it. There's no spyware.

And it fucking owns, pussies. PLAY + BUY NOW.

why not just play Diablo 2? im sure the battle chest with the expansion game should be cheap by now. It sure would be less hassle. They also have all those mods for Diablo to change it up when it gets repetitive.

BTW, looking at the screens for this game, most of it looks exactly like Diablo, right down the the health bars. :lol :lol :lol
