Favorite PSP/DS Game?

Which is your favorite, and what have you played?

PSP:
Wipeout: Pure -- Depth, challenge, beauty, and fun, what else can you ask for? I have a hard time understanding why people prefer RR over this.

Played:
Lumines(runner up), RR, NFSUR

DS:
Yoshi Touch & Go -- Just plain fun to play.

Played:
Mario64ds(runner up), WW: Touched, Zookeeper, Asphalt Urban GT

Haven't really touched either lately, like to see what everyone else is enjoying.

Well I've only got RR on PSP and its good no doubts, however yoshi touch and go is the best handheld game I've ever played. So many neat ideas in a game.

PSP-Lumines
It's really the only game on the system I consider worth owning

DS-Super Mario 64 DS
It's really kept me entertained the longest, though Wario Ware Touched! and ZooKeeper have been damnded entertaining. In fact, ZooKeeper may take the title from Mario 64. I just got it a week ago or so, but I've been playing it like crazy.

psp - ridge racers. just a phenomenal arcade racer with loads of content. and a great showcase for the hardware.

played: lumines, minna no golf, wipeout pure, namco museum, vampire chronicle

ds - wario ware touch. er, it's got lots of weird visuals and sounds. and it doesn't suck quite as aggressively as feel the magic does. like the first wario ware, it's entertaining for an hour and irritating thereafter.

played: mario 64, feel the magic, yoshi

PSP: Lumines
It's one of those puzzle games that lets you get into a groove. That combined with the music and sound effects makes for a great experience.
(also played: Wipeout Pure, Ridge Racer, Twisted Metal: Head On, Mercury, Darkstalkers, THUG 2, NFSU Rivals)

NDS: Super Mario 64 DS
Mario 64 translates surprisingly well to a portable; many of the level objectives work well for quick play sessions. Plus, the colliding-shells minigame alone has eaten up hours of my time.
(also played: Wario Ware Touched, Yoshi's Touch & Go, Pac-Pix, Ridge Racer DS, Zoo Keeper, Feel the Magic)

Played: almost everything

Favs:

DS: Meteos, Zoo Keeper, Touch! Kirby

PSP: Lumines, Minna no Golf Portable, Ridge Racers (argh, tough to choose... honorable mention: Tales of Eternia)

PSP: Ridge Racer & Lumines. I seriously can't pick one over the other.
DS: Band Brothers. No doubt about it! It gets ridiculously challenging, so when I give up on that I just make my own tunes. :lol

I've played most of the worth while DS games except many recent JPN releases. On PSP, RR and Lumines are the only PSP games that I've given a good amount of time to.

PSP: Metal Gear Acid (The mechanics won me over, simple as that. A kick-ass idea I hope they can expand upon in future iterations or other in other Konami franchises which might benefit from the idea)

Played: Pretty much everything except Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Rengoku, and the sports titles (except for HSG).

DS: Wario Ware (Has some charm, not the best of the WW titles, but its the one game on the DS that I can pick up and play for a bit without becoming completely irritated. Even then, I don't stay engaged for long)

Played: Polarium, Yoshi, Mario 64, Band Brothers

PSP: Ridge Racers
Also played: Lumines, Metal Gear Acid

DS: Yoshi's Touch & Go
Also played: Wario Touched, Mario 64, Feel the Magic

PSP: Metal Gear Ac!d - Probably the most entertaining/challenging experience I've had on the PSP. I know I'm playing MnGolf instead right now, but that's just got lasting value and something to play over a long period of time. And of course, an honorable mention to Minna no Golf

Played: Ridge Racers, Tales of Eternia, THUG2 Remix, Lumines, Dynasty Warriors

DS: Touch! Kirby. The first true stylus platformer on the DS! And a great one at that, nice try Yoshi.

Played: Super Mario 64, Feel the Magic, Mr. Driller, Daigasso! Band Brothers, Puyo Puyo Fever, Catch! Touch! Yoshi!, Meteos, Pac-Pix

I've only played Mario 64 for the DS, and my favorite games for my PSP are the two that I own: Lumines and Ridge Racer.

I will be playing Lumines for quite awhile - I'm not exceptional at the game, but I can see myself having a session everyday for quite awhile, slowly but surely getting all the skins.

Ridge Racer has great gameplay mechanics, and is the most perfect pick up and play game for short spurts. The only issue I have at this point is that I'm currently on the Max tour, Opus 4, 5, and 6, and can't beat a single one. So my play time with RR is wearing thin, but I guarantee I'll still pick it up once and awhile, just to try and finish those races.

Favorite DS: Zoo Keeper, Super Mario 64 DS, Yoshi Touch & Go, Warioware Touched

Favorite PSP: Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, Darkstalkers

PSP:

Wipeout. But Untold Legends and Lumines are also contenders. They're such different games that it's hard to say.

Not as favorite:

Twisted Metal. It's great, but I haven't played it with the other there to cll to me. It's a little too much like past versions to be super-compelling, despite being a really good game. Typically I will go back to a game like this later and get very into it, but with the other vying for my time, it's idle.

Darkstalkers. I'm just not that big a fighting game fan, and the load times are annoying.

I have no DS.

DS: Feel the Magic. It's one of the few DS games (especially early on) that feels likes it was specifically designed for the unit, and it uses it in clever ways to tell an amusing stylized story. It's probably one of the first likeable IPs Sega's created in quite a while.

I'm also really looking forward to Animal Crossing DS ("To Go" I think it's being called now). That's just... Animal Crossing was an already great game that just had some stumbling points, and every one of those seem to be answered by the DS. (Letters? Drawing textures? Touch screen! Lonely town, with the only way to travel to others via Memory Card? WiFi Online! And I bet the mic will get use for something, maybe a recorded greeting for people visiting your town or house.) You can tell they're making a completely new game, even the viewpoint has changed to a fairly unique "curved horizon." It's just going to be absolutely wicked.

I don't have a PSP, so I can't answer that part. If someone is willing to give me a PSP, I'd be glad to find a favorite game for it.

PSP -

favorite: ridge racer
played: ridge racer, hot shots golf, lumines, tony hawk (because I was forced to, we were trying to one disc multiplayer swap trick)

my preferred games on PSP are Ridge Racer and Untold Legends.

Other games played: Wipeout Pure, MGA, Gretzky NHL and Need for Speed Underground.

Favorites: Yoshi Touch and Go, Polarium

PSP:

Favorites: Lumines, Wipeout

DS Played - Super Mario 64 DS, Wario Ware DS, Yoshi Touch and Go, Polarium, Feel the Magic, Ridge Racer DS, Rayman DS

Personal Favorite - Polarium

I'm really picking the unique DS titles here, Polarium had me suprised. I've spent over 3 hours on challenge mode alone just trying to get a bigger score. Puzzle mode also leaves a good challenge as well, but this has to be my favorite puzzle game since Super Puzzle Fighter.

VS. Mode I tried recently is quite intense. Basically you clear lines so it can be slided to the other player. You get items to block your enemy's highlight path, slow down the speed they send you lines, etc. etc.

Although I do not reccomend getting a DS for it, nor for a $30 unless you like puzzle games, this has to be my favorite title for it thus far.

I dislike Sony so dont expect any PSP impressions from me.

Current PSP winners: Ridge Racer and Lumines...

can't seem to go wrong with those two.

Very Worthwhile games: Metal Gear Acid, Wipeout, Hot Shot Golf.

So... that'll cost me a decent fucking amount. Damn.

PSP - Ridge Racer

I also own Lumines and Darkstalkers and I've played my friend's NFL Street, Bleach Beat the Soul, ATV Offroad Fury, Metal Gear Acid, Wipeout, Mercury, and Untold Legends.

NDS - Wario Ware

I also own Yoshi Touch & Go, Mario 64 DS, and Fell the Magic and have played Ridge Racer DS in multiplayer.

DS - Super Mario 64 DS

Other favorites: Wario Ware Touched & Feel the Magic XY/XX,

PSP - Don't have one just yet.

no psp

played on ds: Mario 64, zookeeper, wario, yoshi, world champ poker, pac pix, feel the magic, metroid sampler, meteos

and the winner is: wario
closely followed up by: yoshi
and in last place: feel the magic

This ought to be everybody's standard.

Really, I notice how flame-free and good reading this thread has been, bacuse people are acting this way.

A new era of GAF?

PSP - Lumines

DS - Meteos or Yoshi's Touch and Go

played - Mario 64, World Championship Poker, Pac-Pix , Polarium, Ridge Racer DS, Pokemon Dash, Feel the Magic, Wario Ware Touch, Puyo Pop Fever

soon to be getting : Need For Speed DS, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith DS

on psp I only own Lumines, however I'm looking forward to getting Wipeout Pure after I get paid on friday.

PSP - Ridge Racer

DS - don't own one...yet. it'll eventually be Advance Wars DS when it comes out

Best DS Game-Mario 64 DS. It's simply a classic that many of us take for granted because we've probably played it before. Taken on it's own terms however, it's the best piece of software on the DS.

Played-SM64, Madden 2005, Feel The Magic, Wario Ware Touched, Yoshi'd Touch&Go, Spiderman DS, Asphalt GT, Rayman DS.

Best PSP Game-Ridge Racer. Great graphics, not particularly painful to play. Doesn't produce the feelings of repetition and boredom you find in other PSP titles as quickly.

Played-Ridge Racer, metal Gear Acid, Lumines, Spider-man, Tony Hawk, NBA Street.

Best DS game - Probably Puyo Puyo Fever, but since I don't have it yet, I'll say Wario Ware. Disappointing but probably the best all-around game in NA ATM.
Runner-up - Metroid Prime Hunters demo

Best DS non-game - Electroplankton is love

Own - SM64 (not underrated :P), Asphalt, Feel the Magic, Zoo Keeper, Pac-Pix, Polarium
