Favorite store bought BBQ sauces? Looking for the best for my tastes

surprised there is no mention in here of Dinosaur BBQ

I would pick this too, but do they ship outside of NY? They're based in NY so we can get it in markets no problem

OP - It wasn't for me, I like spicy and vinegar, but I bet Melinda's BBQ sauce would be up your alley- Melinda's hot sauce though are some of my favorites

There’s definitely drier bbq styles out there that are good too but if you can’t get down with a variety of styles, including sweet and tangy and vinegary, you’re missing out. And obviously we’re not talking about A1 on a rib-eye here
I'll eat any style but a rack rubbed down with the right seasoning and cooked to perfection is bliss. Certainly beats being desecrated by sauce from a jar, and I feel the average cook uses the sauce as a crutch to cover their inadequacies. Not talking about the real pit bosses, they know their stuff when it comes to sauce.

Yep and asking for the best store-bought sauce is a joke. They're all shit. If you have to use a sauce, make your own otherwise don't ruin your meat.
All I eat is grilled chicken. I’m not lathering up some ribs or brisket here. You can’t ruin grilled chicken, in fact eating chicken without sauce on it is pretty gross.

Interesting, I never bothered with grilling chicken so I didn't even think that's what you meant. Cast iron or baking is all I do; if I have wings they go in the air fryer.

I had to make some extreme alterations to my diet for medical reasons and the only diet that has worked for me is chicken. So I basically eat it everyday in one form or another sans fried, and if I don't dress it up with some sauce I will get so tired of it. Can't eat anything spicy, so it's bbq or just some type of a dry rub.

If/when I get back to eating other BBQ, I never do my own BBQ. I usually go to a BBQ joint and just have their sauce or whatever they put on it.

I don’t really use BBQ sauce, but when I do it’s sweet baby rays

Overall not a fan of BBQ sauce. Dry rub is superior pretty much 100% of the time.

If I’m getting chicken l, I buy it pre marinated at the local Mexican market.

I dig Stubbs quite a bit, but then I like the vinegar flavor. If I HAD to go store bought, Stubbs is my go-to.

But F' that BBQ nonsense and go straight to the king...

I buy Buffalo Wild Wings Honey BBQ by the bottle. It is much better when put on other places wings.

Good stuff! The spicy is spicy the mild might work for him.

Chicken does really well with paste rubs like Laxmi Tandoori paste or jerk paste. I slice up a couple of onions and chop some cilantro and rub down chicken thighs with the laxmi mixed with greek yogurt and then grill the chicken and saute the onions and cilantro and make Indian "tacos" from it. Delicious but has a spicy kick.

There's also a world of marinades out there to impart flavor to chicken. Fajita, Thai using coconut milk, teriyaki, etc..

Honestly....make your own.

You know what you like and there are plenty of recipes out there that you can look at to see what will work.

You are going to like it better.

OP is really dedicated to the Sauce, keepin this necro thread going. Personally Sweet Baby Ray's regular flavor is my go-to.
