Anti Logic?

So do you believe that it is a less serious crime to murder someone than to abuse a child?

Even if you believe they are both on a par, as they both ultimately ruin lives, how can you be so hypocritical as to endorse the glorification of one over the other?

And... "hypothetical murder"? Yeah, I bet the FBI keep tons of files on hypothetical murders. Besides, as we've already learnt from this thread:

i honestly don't know where to start wit this, man. you assume a) i subscribe to your metrics that there's a "par" (or that i'm going to abstractly quantify them for you), and that b) anyone citing wu lyrics here is directly supportive of the acts committed by a long-dead artist known for doing illegal shit.
if i was unclear, the "hypothetical" was my example of it being in self-defense.

but hey, i'm but a hypocrite here, so clearly i've learnt nothing.

not really surprising, ghostface/meth/odb were the main 3 that were into the sketchiest shit. cappadonna has also been driving cabs on and off for almost a decade now, not really a recent thing (whoever said that). saw gza play last week and that du doesn't age one bit.

good point, my bad US - here's some of my favorite gems from Return to the 36 that get less play!

Snakes

Killah Priest, RZA, Dirt, MK & Buddah Monk...my favorite line was prolly from RZA though "Justice must be born, there's no escape/Cause a snake can't be reformed, so why wait"

Cuttin Headz
I just love back & forth MC'ing like this, and he and RZA flow so natural on it.
"Here I go, here I go, whether friend whether foe/ Let them know that I flow, over the rainbow"

bonus non-36 track:

Masta Killah - Old Man YA BIG DUMMY
only big baby jesus rightfully flows over that beat, haha

almost forgot!
Ghostface & Ol Dirty Chinese Restaurant - Holla
right over the Delfonics, not even giving a fuck
"Like, an angry, cripple, man, don't push me/don't believe the kid, listen to me.."
i love that whole 2nd verse, really.

I wonder how many dudes Redman had to body to get in good with Method.

I never get the impression that he had to do anything.

It's like the opposite of put Lil Wayne, Drake, Officer Ricky, and +1 Random person into a blender and then put on Itunes....then to radio...then I have to hear Officer Ricky sound like a constipated bear trying to take a shit in the woods when flipping stations.

For the record, FBI reports like this--like all law enforcement reports--aren't necessarily very reliable. Nothing in them should be taken at face value.

Man is right, a lot of time it's just reports passed along. They're more for background/investigation than any sort of evidence/prosecution purpose.

"The WTC is heavily involved in the sale of drugs, illegal guns, weapons possession, murder, - carjacking and other types of violent crime."

A Wu Tang GTA clone. What a fucking great idea, why didn't I think of this before?

Connections to the Bloods Gang

Nah, everyone can have their favorites, I just though the image was too funny not to use.

That would have been awesome. That said GTA Chinatown does have a Ghostface song on it.

Did he get into a fight with Wu Tang?

he said something jokingly about ODB *among other rappers* and GFK came out with a track called Who the Fuck is 50 cent, and proceeded to describe him as 40 cent, 2 dimes and a quarter, etc etc thru out the song. Another time he said something about the wu tang or something and GZA made a diss track on em but nothing ever came out of it. I dont think 50 ever responded or dug into people that would actually do something back to him , like Tha Lox or the Wu.

This (and other) word for word rip offs from Reddit's front page really make me question some people's posting habits.

ODB was a hoodlum in real life. Rap was just a hobby/hustle for him.

Brought back a lot of memories here. :) That tape stayed in the radio in my jeep and I never took it out. I must have listened to this album hundreds of times. Favorite Hip Hop group of all time.

Back when ALLLLLLL 10 of them were on fire, yes even U God..wtf happened to him post Wu Tang Forever????

He has produced a crazy amount of amazing stuff....and more than his fair share of uninteresting/bad stuff.

I remember reading that he had some sort of studio fire/flood, lost a ton of material, and was never able to fully recover from the loss of so much work.

BTW, RZA fans should check out this season of Californication. His character is an extremely successful rapper that is now interested in acting/directing, dates Megan Good, and his name is : Samurai Apocalypse

This is GAF:

Criminal is "is heavily involved in the sale of drugs, illegal guns, weapons possession, murder, carjacking and other types of violent crime"
Pedophilia:
Loving the consistency that GAF apply equally to all forms of serious crime!

It's a good thing you made sure to cross match names and comments from individuals so you can show their individual hypocritical nature....

Oh wait.

I'll never forget when I worked at Electronic's Boutique and some members of the Wu-Tang used to come in all the time and one time my manager didn't know who they were and wondered why kids were coming up to them for autographs. Well my manager asked who they were when they were paying for their games and after they told him his asked for autographs and the guy handed back the signed credit card slip and said there you go. I laughed for half an hour.

In terms of rappers who actually lived the life ODB is definitely up there with 50, Eazy, and Brotha Lynch Hung.

I used to hate on people mentioning Reddit and how stuff ends up here. That stopped once I started following Reddit a bit more.

This is serious and not funny and, as with any other artist, we can celebrate the art but still decry the artist, and violence sucks. BUT:

Found in possession of large bags full of paper currency.

That's hilarious. I like to think they had dollar signs drew on them in magic marker.
