I would personally like to see either better battery life or faster charging. Waterproofing as a standard would also be nice, but I doubt that would happen.
- a 5" model (4.7" is too small and 5.5" too big for my taste. 5-5.2" is about perfect)
- better battery life in the standard size model. At least a full day without it being babied.
- widgets. Seriously, let me surface information I want to see on my homescreen. Do it apple-style so less of the wild west of android. There was a concept a couple of years back using the existing icon grid to fit in live tiles/widgets for apps. The today screen is getting full of them already but they're hidden and therefore often a bit useless.
- let me use custom alert sounds and custom vibration patterns on all apps, not just first party ones.
- let me select notifications to sound on the iphone even when I'm wearing an apple watch.
- vertical split screen. I often use this for video, but forced side by side means videos are tiny. Let me have top/bottom so I can watch a video in the top half of the screen while using safari etc in the bottom
- better app selection for split screen/side by side mode. Vertical list of stuff is crap already and will get worse as more apps support it. Needs at minimum a search bar pop up when you're scrolling, but I'd prefer something better - eg force touch on an icon lets you send it to the left/right, or swiping on the task switcher view. Anything would be better than what is there now.
- side by side view, let me swap the sides. A few times I've wanted to swap the apps around because you can't make the app on the left really small - eg you're in full screen twitter, bring up safari on the right...now you want to flip them. You have to full screen safari, then open the slideover and find twitter from the list. Bah.
- let me select the default app to use with files. Clicking on an email? Let me choose to always open that in outlook or inbox instead of mail. Maps link? Google maps please. Apple if you want us to use your apps, make your apps better, don't force us to use them. I'm still going to use outlook and google maps but now your 'seamless experience' is less seamless because I'm forced to copy/paste links

Vertical split screen and PIP for video would be nice on a 6S Plus. I'm very happy with the phone at the moment, I can't think of much else I'd want that is feasible for Apple. Now the Watch could use a bunch of improvements.

The S5 has a higher ppi and a SuperAMOLED display.

- Lower SAR emissions, seriously. The 6 is only 0.1 lower than the legal limit (1.59 iirc), while the S6 is like 0.3 total. C'mon Apple.

- No more 16GB. 32GB entry level
- Improvements to Siri, it's useless right now and years behind the competition
- Proper ultra-low power mode
- Customizable control center, i need my fucking 4G switch in there
- Adblockers to actually work... oh wait. We need this yesterday.

As someone who will probably never buy an iphone again I'd like the following features before I'm convinced.
* Pricing: Be competitive on pricing...$1500AU for a 128gb..yeah go fuck yourself. My HTC M9 was $750, half the fucking price and it's a fantastic phone!
*Storage: Either give me the option of SD card support or give me something over 128GB because I'm getting close to hitting 100GB on my current 128GB on my HTC and 20GB used on the internal.
*Battery: Add wireless charging and increase the battery to 3000mah in the 4.7" model and I'm interested.
*Itunes: I fucking hate this program. It runs like dogshit on my god tier PC. Fix it.
*It just works!:....only it fucking doesnt, I can't just bluetooth basic files to other phones or NFC transfer content when setting up a new phone or connecting to a bluetooth speaker. I hate the file and content management on iphones it treats you like a retard.
God I'm such a whiny bitch. Anyway, none of this will happen so I can't wait for the iphone 7 to do absolutely nothing to swing me over towards the Apple camp.

I find no use for wireless charging. I use my phone all the time while it's charging and I really don't mind plugging it in; is there something I'm missing?
I was at dinner last night and a bunch of my friends were complaining about how they couldn't set Chrome as the default browser on their iPhones.
Saying "Android" is a troll response, but there are legitimately some steps that could be taken in that direction that would be in the consumer's interest.

It's not wireless charging anyway. It's inductive. Calling it wireless is a marketing term.

i'd like them to go OLED and adopt a more inventive notification system, but i doubt they'd be able to get a non-pentile screen at the proper resolution.

Water-Proof / More durable. < A day where I don't need a case at all would be wonderful. Take it with me in the shower, use it as a hammer!
Thicker < 6 Plus is so thin it is harder to hold than it needs to be. You need a case to get a good grip. I miss gameboy brick thickness in my electronics.

Could anyone explain the benefit of wireless charging? It's not truly wireless as there still needs to be a contact point - I don't see how it's any better than a lightning cable. The wireless charging may save you a fraction of a second over plugging in a cable, but it also takes up more space.
Anyways the main things I would want:
-Better screen. I can't understand why Apple does not try to lead the charge here considering they place aesthetic above most.

Wireless charging would mean that I would no longer have to very careful when plugging in the charging cable to avoid scratching the phone.

I don't understand the appeal to "wireless" charging. Aren't you even more limited by having to leave your phone on the charging unit? I have a 6 foot charging cable and outlet right next to my recliner. Let's me use my phone and charge it.
