I love Punk so I wasn't really including him. Besides Punk though nobody else can even compare. Not even Miz who I think is great on the mic.

It's scary how talented The Rock is on the mic, even after not being there for all these years. Nothing prepares you for a live crowd + live TV and 20 mins of air time and he nails it.

really shows how shit the roster is now, attitude era was just the final glorius bloom of the the years leading up to it (hogan being a hero getting wrestling on the map, then falling to heel, the new generation paying dues, sharpening their mic skills, and exploding onto primetime every monday night). It'll never be repeated.

Rock's gonna put over super Cena but I hope this leads to his heel turn. Man, my adrenaline is going. I'm hyped about this.
Face rock versus heel cena is pure freakin gold! To be fair to cena, if you give this guy the mic to let loose on people, he can at least hang with rock. PG chopped his nuts. Circle back a few years to see how cena was on the mic.

If this leads to a real Hell turn for Cena, it will be the icing on the cake. I would love to see Cena come out next week and just tear into the fans and go super heel.

The whole attitude era was great. Especially the Raw is War era. Anything could happen at any time. People jumping back and forth from WCW to WWE, everyone having a storyline going.

Guys....lets not die here we might wake up from this fantastic dream at any moment.

That was perfect.
Nah man, it's real. I dozed off at the end of Raw, and was out for the night. Then I heared Rock's theme and thought it sounded new and jumped up because I realized he was coming out to the ring. Damn I'm glad I kept the tv on.

Bad guy Cena could actually be pretty interesting, just something different the people been crying for for ages.

Bubububububuubu what about the merchandise? Rock stuff might sell instead?

So I recorded Raw on my DVR but Raw went overtime and on my DVR it didn't have the RED REC light on after 11:05. Did it record the entire RAW or just at the 11:05 mark?

Looking back, I can't believe how many great mic workers there were back the. The Rock, Austin, Jericho, Road Dogg, Guerrero, HHH, Foley, etc...

Holy crap that was beyond epic. It was a 20 minute mark out. It made every other promo in the past however many years look like complete crap. Miz, Cena, Punk, they cannot hold this man's microphone when it comes to promos.

Did Cena really talk trash about Rock? What did he say? Because the Rock leveled him.

2000-early 2001 was the pinnacle of the WWF. Vince Russo took his garbage to WCW and we still had the wonderful characters from the era being booked in much better scenarios. It wasn't until they turned Austin heel and the shitty WCW Invasion that it began to nosedive.

Hell YES. As great as The Rock's promo was, it will be even better long term if Cena heels the HELL out in the coming weeks. He's in DESPERATE need of a gimmick refresh.

Keep in mind the wrestlers back then weren't being scripted promos either. Basically they were given some hot points to get across and given free reign to do that. In today's WWE Austin 3:16 or any of Rock's catchphrases would have ever happened.

I think it started with Cena telling ESPN or someone during an interview that The Rock left wrestling because he never loved it.

Rocky being back kind of makes me sad, as it's painfully apparent that the WWE/TNA/ROH/ETC doesn't have any electrifying personalities to help draw in fans like during the Rock/Austin era.

There was a point where everytime he was doing promotional interviews for movies, Cena would get asked if he would ever leave wrestling to do movies full-time.

It got to the point where he was almost saying the same thing word-for-word to everybody about how The Rock forgot where he came from and left the WWE high and dry. Also some shit about the only time he would come back is if he was promoting a movie and how he'd never treat the business like Rock did.

Yeah, it was widely accepted that it was just Vince McMahon's words coming out of his mouth. But Cena still made the decision to say them.
