The gameplay of Fantasy strike isn't compelling either. That shit wasn't fun at PSX, it still doesn't look fun 8 months later.
Yea, noticed there was no side stepping in any of the videos, disappointing to be honest. Even though it looked broken, it at least distinguished the game from other 2D games, and kinda excused the flauty jumps.

Wouldn't change much, dude is always keeping it real.
That's a pretty weird choice. I wasn't into SFEX but I had hopes for this game because I wanted to see a traditional 3D fighter that integrated a 2D fighter's moveset well. Aside from Akuma in T7, most 3D fighters play very distinctly from their 2D fighter brethren.

This adds "Paracelsia" as a new Arcana that can be equipped to change the moveset of any character in the game. This requires a full game balance patch beyond the Arcade version of Six Stars. No clue on the specifics of Paracelsia as an Arcana yet but she is the Arcana of Life and as a boss she had every element, constantly healed, had a protected healing boulder to hide in and permanently gained meter. Huge attacks, crazy mobility, teleports, just nuts. If any makes it into the Arcana's toolset it'll be big.
Now onto the other Stretch goals! From here on out its all about New Characters!

You probably aren't wrong. Seems her entire bit is that every animation just barely has some of her coat or something cross in front of her to censor things.

Glad to see the Chun face lift and that Jedah still has the good ol sickle space control. When he threw it and it spun it brought back some good memories. That things gonna be useful for tag setups if it stays out. He looks great.
Also shoutouts to high level play. That first set was super fast and terrific. Smart play showing 3 new cast and one who was under scrutiny in need of model work since she had been fixed.
If they keep adding new faces it'll be good.
Also shoutouts to Gamora. Got some Deadpool like jump guns, something like a Cable 4 shot maybe? Looked like a very large hitbox on a multihit sword spin tornado thingy, and a good range sword super. Very fun looking character. I can see her working with a lot of characters. I honestly felt she seemed more exciting than Jedah's move list, but cmon man its Jedah. More male Darkstalkers need to show up in games.

Chun-Li's model being the same and people being like "wow she got better!" is a testament to how disproportionate the reaction was to her in the story mode and how they need to fix up the lighting more on the indoor stages in particular.

We lived long enough to see NRS do better model work than Capcom.
Looks like we'll be getting an EX version of CF. Glad I didn't buy it on PC.

Is that confirmed? I think BBCF is just getting Jubei DLC + a new stage, not another EX.
That said, I want it to be an EX version, just because that means I called it.
I'm just bracing myself. I did not trust that "coming soon" screen at all.
The crossover fighter is effectively the next BB game. They've been juggling 3 FGs at a time, so unless they added a 4th, the BB team is working on the crossover.
Would it take that much effort for them to make an EX version of CF?
