I'm still expecting SOME news at E3 but this makes me think that it might not be a brand new KI but a continuation of what we have.
Still though, you're right. This doesn't necessarily mean anything.

This is true but it still seems less likely than anything called ki3 considering this already is ki3. I doubt it's a new game.
Any ki stuff that happens is good though imo. Game is fantastic to watch or play. Everyone feels super powerful and good, tons to unlock, lots of single player content , and amazing online. Sucks it's win10 and x1 only. It's the only game I got for x1. Console had so few exclusives, issues with getting inferior versions performance wise on multiconsole titles, and the WORST gui ever.

Hol Horse: I went over him before, and you'll see most of his tricks here. It takes a little bit for the player to warm up, but he does a good job after.
Okuyasu: Back when this game launched, there was the usual quick look type videos from youtube and gaming celebs. They almost always seemed to come across this character and like him. He's a pretty nasty character to fight against because of his good normals, strong specials with high priority, and big damage. What stands out most are his array of unblockable moves. In this video you'll see him do his S-ON unblockable set-up, where Okuyasu does a move while The Hand charges up the unblockable. The normals Okuyasu throws out will frame trap the opponent, making the unblockable guaranteed. This is great for both okizeme and in blockstrings. Very stressful to put up with. Still, when you Stand Rush, you can't block or roman cancel, so your set-up has to be air-tight or you'll eat a super.

There actually is a Revelator side tournament at Dreamhack Austin at the end of the month, Dreamhack threw in $500 for the prize pot. 30 times less than SF5 at the same event, also less than For Honor and Pokken but I guess technically it is still a step up from poverty.

Took a break for a while, but I'm gonna try to really dig into this stuff now.
Damage values can also be negative, which heals the opponent, subtracts meter from both players, and curiously does not cause the combo counter or damage scaling to increment. :V
I also found a way to make hitboxes persist for additional frames even after the attack connects with the opponent, making single-hit moves hit on each of their active frames.
Now wondering if I can utilize that to make Bionic Arm hit 10 times in a single punch, lol.

I forgot to talk about it here since it's French related but there may be French readers here so let's go. I'm working for Red Bull France now and doing portraits for the new Red Bull Kumite competitors. The tone and goal is a bit the same as Ian Walker great "Casuals" series but it goes a bit deeper in personal stuff like hobbies, personal life... It provides good perspective about players and some fun trivia.
For example Crimson applied to Meltdown as a barman (his job) right before his win in Cannes, and was hired as a competitor right after. Infexious was working in a law firm, decided to quit and will be teaching mathematics next September as he wants to do a more meaningful job and give back to the community. So far players have been wonderful and giving great reasons to spectators to root for them, outside of just the game or characters. That's what I wanted.

Unfortunately I don't think they plan to translate them in English so it will probably stay as it is. :/
