I'm not sure if Kevin is completely serious or just letting out some salt. But sadly, this is a sentiment that so many--particularly NA players and viewers--have shared since EVO 2014. Rose is super good. In top 15-20 imo. But cheap ? >_> Mashing backdash is still not as scruby and obnoxious as mashing a 3f invincible DP.
I think a lot of people shared this sentiment before EVO 2014. It was after that when everyone is like "what have I been telling you all, fuck this character". I can't say that I agree entirely with your equating her backdash to mashing dp. She is a very obnoxious character though.

I think she's top 10, but there are lots of good characters in this game, so maybe not.
Scrubby? I don't think so. Her backdash is good, but Chun Li's is just as good. She has to play neutral, that's her game. All her shit is punishable at the wrong distances, she can't just mash a game out. There are answers to everything she has.
Dieminion's just salty because she fucks with Guile. Which is good because Guile is boring and everyone who plays him is less interesting for doing so.
Rose is good but not really scrubby in any way Dieminion probably got bopped by a Rose player recently.

Yeah, after that airplane ticket incident and that one time he tried to white knight Sherry on a comment that was taken grossly out of context, I would have thought people would have known this by now.
One of the scrubbiest players at our casuals plays Rose. He's ass at the game yet somehow finds some success.
If you make this dude play random select with you he just gets mopped yet he somehow finds a moderate amount of success with Rose, so I tend to agree.
He also plays Ramlethal in XRD so I feel the same way about that character.
edit: He also never used to find ANY success with the character until Ultra. In Super he scrubbed out some wins but he was new to Rose then soo... Super Rose was a scrubby stupid character too.

DPs are easy to punish with literally everything in the game...Rose bacjdash on the other hand is incredibly hard to punish and even if you option select it some characters don't get much of anything.
For the announcement on GAF, probably Capcom vs SNK 3, since it's been longer since the last game.
Marvel vs Capcom 4 wouldn't have as much of an impact, since it hasn't been that long since Marvel vs Capcom 3, and reception (due to Ultimate) isn't as favorable.
Again, this is just for GAF anticipation.

I didn't say he wins a lot. I'm saying he doesn't EVER win if he doesn't use Rose. I'm also saying I'm salty when I lost to a scrub.

Dear lord Spec Ops Cassie is so dirty. I love it.
Dps lead to good damage if they aren't blocked. Backdashing is for position, avoidance, and sometimes to bait; but there is no guarantee of damage or a real comeback with it. Seems even or in the favor of dps if you ask me.

Wow, I didn't realize they call the round so early in MK. I would've at least waited to see if my opponent drops his combo, but that might be because my own execution is pretty ass in this game.
I thought we're getting it from the perspective of those who were there and stopped Champ, not KOG perspective since... He can't speak English!

Evil Ryu happens to be one of the few or maybe the only character who can always punish Rose pretty good with or without meter. Since his cr. mk has great range, it'll reach her(with a jab OS) if she back dashes on wake up. With no meter I get 258 damage. With 2 bars I can do over 400. So yeah, I'm practically begging Rose players to back dash against me on wake up.
