Fighting Games Weekly | April 1-7 | And after 0-3, he has risen

I think way more than 200 people get top scores... or at least that's how it was when I was taking 1600 SAT. I guess it's harder now with the 2400 scale. Private schools got perfect SAT scores like it was nothing, I personally knew many people who got perfects.

Ya well I was like a beta tester for the new sat, and didn't study for shit because how do I study for something I have no idea about, and did horrible so fuck school.

Spooky was telling me Chris G goes into training mode and hits himself with jamming bomb and does Soul Fists backwards -- event corrects the combo midway through when it wears off.

Every other Marvel player is now proven to be nothing but a mortal.

Every

Other

One of them

Shrug, idk that's what the paper said in the mail with the scholarship info attached and stuff.

I have it too, but I haven't read it yet. Went through Wind-up Bird, Sputnik Sweetheart and A Wild Sheep Chase. It's really weird, but I can get a really vivid picture of the locales in his books. It's the complete opposite when I read stuff like Dostoyevsky and I see the character's face clear as day.

Christopher Gawd indeed.

Doing that with Modok riverdancing at him would be impressive.

Actually, speaking of that. Modok's Jamming Bomb should rotate the controls at random every time you get hit with it instead of just reversing it.

What the fuck does that even mean?

Wow.

...how does that work?

I don't play these games but one thing I know about gaming is... no matter how many algorythms you put in a game (however yous pell it) Humans are based on paterns. You can find and break them. This has not changed in the design of games after 60 years. so like Neo I see the game differently from others. I can see it from a code standpoint... not frames.

Change button inputs imo.

Generally, any time something random is added to a fighting game it's bad.

THAT TRIFORCE QUOTE, YO DAMN

I think he just means he approaches games like a designer rather than a player. Instead of thinking "what should I do", he's thinking "what would the level designer/programmer do here, why does such and such work". It's something a lot of people probably do, but Triforce has a way about him.

I'm framing this and putting it on my wall.

Make sure you stitch it on a throw pillow too.

Just rotate the D-pad. Also, Marvel is already random as hell sometimes. They'll be used to it. =P

Need a photoshop of Triforces head on Neo when he says I know kung fu that says" I know Marvel", and Chris G leaning in saying show me.

I don't think this is true. While random elements could easily mess up a fighter, usually they don't have any drastic effect in the games they're actually in.

Chris Genius/Godlike/Galactus.
Is there a random element that adds to a fighter?
Items in Smash? Aside from exploding barrels anyway.

Oh wait... people don't consider it a fighter. Oof

Where on the tier list is then/than because I fuck that up a lot these days. In fact I fuck every thing up. I think I have brain damage.

Platinum from Blazblue

I'd love to see the terms "random", "volatile", and "unpredictable" split up in the FGC. Will never happen though.
I think Phoenix Wright picking up evidence is the only thing actually random in Marvel 3. Everything else that's called random people eventually figured out. Like Maximum Wesker. Block high = won't cross you up if the super is initiated from most of the places on the screen. Pretty sure Shouta was just messing around though.

I would think any random element would add to a fighter. There's one more layer to take into consideration when you're doing anything. You've got to adapt that much more and be even more flexible.

I think items add to Smash.

Platinum's Drive in BB.

And can't forget Faust.

Doesn't one of the Versus games have gems that appear during the match? Are those not random?

I get why random things have the stigma they do, but if done properly they aren't going to change much of anything.

PW's evidence is fully random as far I know. Most people think Hsien Ko's item tosses are random although technically speaking Hsien Ko's item toss isn't 100% random because due to 1 frame links you can chain together the stun item toss and perform an infinite (best character in the game or something). Hsien Ko's item toss are based on some time interval between the two items used or something.

No surprise the two worst characters in the game are those with random elements to them.

I've actually done the Hsien-Ko infinite in training mode before. Only a few loops.

Won't happen until he wins EVO. He can smell the title and unless the top players drastically change the way they play the game... it shouldn't be difficult for him to snag that title.

Evo2k13 - Chris G wins with Morrigan/Doom/Vergil
Evo2k14 - Chris G wins with Phoenix Wright/Frank West/Dante

Just you wait.
