Chewable chocolate reeses... oh man.

The XBOX creative director tweet thread is incredible, btw. Looks like he's probably on the boards, and we now have a hilarious meme.

HAHHAHAHHHHAHAHHAA

Man today was a great day.

*FChamp go on a salty tirade about Morrigan
*Triforce and his imaginary MorriDoom counter team was amusing
*Grammar tear list
*Marvel patch hinted at
*I beat Super Meat Boy
*This Xbox always online nonsense produced some quality humor
*I absolutely owned in Dota 2 today with Nightstalker, manliest of manly heroes (10 min Beyond Godlike)

So who here has beaten Bioshock Infinite?

Started it, played it for 30 minutes and turned it off and almost threw up.
PUT A FUCKING NUMBER NEXT TO YOUR FUCKING FOV SLIDER FFS.
That is the second time that I experienced motion sickness. (other being Crysis 1 during the alien ship floatiness).
After research I found out that the standard setting is 70 FOV... NO wonder. >_>
Finished the game within two days afterwards. I'm not enjoying FPSs much, but I enjoyed it.
I'm one of the few guys who have guess the plot twist right. (At least partially).

Crows + Sparta Shield = best powers²³²³²³²³²

God damn it's so good. I actually like it a bit more than the first Bioshock.

I have.

Kinda sucks there will be no more bioshock games though

Eh it's not that big of a deal. Bioshock is amazing but a lot of what makes it good is Ken Levine's style. That will still come across in his next games. Also there's less of a chance of a new Bioshock but I don't think it's completely out of the question.

I have. Don't play 1999 mode. :(

Still not sure what that is. Hard on infinite wasn't that bad. What's different with 1999 mode?

Basically the hardest mode. No respawns if you have less than a hundred skybucks, enemies do a SHITTON of damage, uh the end is stupid hard. ;-;

For NCR to be a 2 day tournament.

I wish NCR was a 2 day tournament too. :(

TOs better start those PS4 pre-orders. The GAF thread doesn't stop blowing up, Xbox trending in the US and the reddit post has more up votes than Roger Ebert's death. How will this saga end?

Having only played the first 1.5 hours of BS:I, I like that it immediately clues you in that something is up.

And yeah, Sony's involvement in the FGC actually may be paying dividends for them right now by avoiding the DRM trap.

Ok, it's 100% official now. Who else is going?

PS4 is definitely going to be my second console next gen if this really is true :|

I'd say a lot of that also has to do with them being a Japanese company. Imagine trying to sell always online in Japan. The region that arguably has the strongest ties to physical game collections and tons of dedicated long term scenes. The idea of their games not working because of no internet might make the average Japanese man or woman's head spin like a top.

If they do allow publishers to flip the online switch you'll probably only see big Western pubs trying to take advantage of it. EA is gonna try until their last breath. Don't know what to say about Activision.

Haha, the boys in Seattle crack me up. They put up preorders for the "Whatchu Know About This, MarkMan!?" shirt on their site. Don't know about it? Look it up on YouTube and check out these pictures below:

Thought I'd spread the word out for him. All proceeds of these sales go back to the FGC in Seattle. I get none of it, cuz I don't know about this!

Bring me an XXL one to NYU!! I will wear it while I bop Daigo in AE2012

Haha, I didn't realize they were doing this, good shit. I need to get one too, so all of us Seattle FGC can sport it for Tekken at Evo.

That guy just messed up if he really works for microsoft. What was he thinking tweeting that? Dude basically just put a product that's not even out yet in a negative light.

Only thing I can think of is that he believes this will blow up in MSFT's faces, and is hoping a blow-up before the announce will cause a change. Turning off always-online DRM isn't that hard.

I suspect that by the end of the gen, it will be turned off due to something major happening at some point.

WiiUs for all tournaments and an announcement that TvC2 is coming.

I'll play Bioshock Infinite when I complete Crysis 3 which is OMG so damn good looking. I've been playing it in windowed mode maxed out in spurts while watching certain streams. I really want to see some next-gen horror game ala Silent Hill or something using the same engine as Crysis 3. The game itself is pretty boring (which is why I can't stand playing it for long) typical run of the mill shooter but the visuals, details and sound design is well above anything on consoles right now.

Some part of me really wishes that Capcom would release DS4 or another big fighter during PS4(and Nextbox) launch. Of course with all launches it will be damn near impossible to get a hold of one, and that's if you got $500+ to drop on the game and system + tax. It'd be awesome to tun into WNF to see 80 people show up to enter a game that only 6 people have played for more than an hour because they actually own the game and system. And they're also the ones bringing their system to Super Arcade to run the tournament. Every match would be a leaning experience, but man it sounds like it would be fun to watch.

I think we will have side by side PS360 versions for a long time yet.

Would be nice. I've been playing around with CryEngine for the past few weeks and it is an impressive bit of gear.

So much for MS fans being good in the sack.

I had avoided that thread because I assumed it had to be some sort of joke. Please tell me there is no one in there treating that seriously.

I remain completely boggled by the whole thing. What does MS get out of doing this?

announcement that TvC2 is coming.

That was just mean.

It's more about the kind of precedent it sets for me. These are my games. I will play them whenever the fuck I want.

Truth. I get nothing out of transforming games into a service that can be discontinued whenever the service provider sees fit. Have several retro consoles hooked up now and bought an arcade cabinet to house my 360 & PS3, because they have a long life ahead of them for local multiplayer fighting, platform, and shmups.

I think we're really in the minority, though. Hope I'm wrong, but there are people who agree with this MS guy's phone analogy.
