I understand the reasoning for the controversy and the call out to this specific situation, but I do feel that it was unfair that my entire team was punished due to this isolated incident. Many of my team members had great performances at Final Round and were not given the proper credit that they deserved. I've spoken to my team about our new policies, and PDP will be working more closely with Team Spooky and other tournament organizers to ensure that these kinds of mishaps do not occur in the future.

I have no clue what he's talking about here. Saying events are "corporate sponsored" when most of the sponsors are local FG avenues and teams is a bit silly. Also, I'm not aware of any punishments administered to his "entire team". Just Fanatiq, and it was fair.

MadCatz. And that's not a bad thing. - They're the most important sponsor because they make money by providing players of all games with competitive supplies, not just a single publisher or platform. Finding ways to monetize tournaments for businesses is a good thing.
 
FChamp is totally broken. He's been thrown into the character crisis. It's kind of sad seeing them succumb to MorriDoom. Not kind of sad, really sad. This doesn't solve much. They'll get outplayed again, just like every other player that is a follower in Marvel and not a leader/creator. Creativity is what made Chris G rise to the top.

Until someone steps up and finds something cheaper or develops a theory counter team into something with practical value AND learns how to outplay Chris G, he's not going anywhere.

No AGE Player was allowed to have AGE branding on their tag

and by corporate he means how madcatz/brokentier/nos/namco/tecmo either send money or machines or products for venues

It's necessary. To counter a team you've never seen, you need to get inside its head. It'll be good if FChamp learns Morrigan/Doom, because that'll bring him that much closer to a counter.

Definitely agree with this, FChamp has done a bit of that before but curiously not for Chris G. Probably because he already played Doom at the time. He just went straight into the counter development.

Though I'm not sure if what we're seeing a team change or that; I've been watching with the sound off.

Fchamp isn't mind fucked. He's just trying to figure out the character's weakness. Kind of obvious when you have CJ, Shady, and Drew playing Morrigan too at FGTV

You cant really punish AGE, but if a player isnt really producing for AGE he might get dropped.

Yeah he thought he was good playing against them I bet, but Chris G is on another level. FChamp doesn't even have access to any of the Top 3 Morrigans. With a character that has such a fast unfly, it's more combating Chris G's tendencies and tactics.

He sounded pretty mindfucked yesterday though. That wasn't even salt, it was some other sort of precipitate flowing out.

Mishmashing Shuma, Dorm, Skrull, and Wolvie (which, conveniently, have next to no synergy with one another) isn't gonna solve shit.

Champ is in a "character crisis" cause none of his teams are built to beat Morridoom in any shape or form. Neither are any other teams in the game. But hes searching for it, as is everyone else. Theres a lot of smart people playing this game, and its not like they're losing cause they want to.

They've been losing because they weren't investing any time into figuring out how to beat Chris G. Not that they might not have lost anyway, but the only thing that's worked at all has been Wolverine teams, because there's only X amount of right decisions you can make vs one before you get caught.
 
I hope the rumor that BBCP is ps4 exclusive isn't true. But no release date still and them saying they want to have the best online experience of any fighter ever made is kinda leaning that way now.... :(

I was actually getting worried about it being sent to die on the PS3. PS4 would make much more sense, since it'd have actual longevity there. And hey, PS4's looking like the tournament standard anyway.

Depending on region locking, I'm probably ok with this. Because of no BC, I'm more just playing backlog games on my PC until next gen hits. PS4 + BBCP + UNiB would do me quite nicely ;)

Also, just an observation, a lot of players that don't seem to be showing up to NLBC as often anymore show up to every Zoned Out. Interesting how the monthly format is preferable for them. Though it may be the location that has a part in it too because of Savage Saturdays being a thing too.

This is probably what people were saying when Spiral was a thing.

It's hard to make general claims in Marvel when you have a new character people are complaining about every 3 months. Just one character-specific glitch and everything changes. I'm not gonna sit here and be all James Chen like "something beats it!" because I really can't narrow it down myself, but I'm not counting anything out yet considering how many underexplored characters there are in the game, such as Jill.
