i don't see much of a difference in chris g/fanatiq being assholes and not playing seriously and jwong/pr balrog not playing seriously and picking 2/3rd tier teams. at least chris g/fanatiq wasn't grand finals.

Difference is PR Rog could actually beat Justin. Fanatiq only pulls out the staged/not trying when he has no chance of winning and needs an excuse.
No, ChrisG/Fanatiq was the start of Top-64 - and it was because they were petulantly "protesting" AGE members playing each other so early in the bracket.
Justin/Rog was a pot-split match, where nobody had anything on the line, and Rog frankly had no chance of winning to begin with. He wasn't in the winners final for any 15 second period of any game.
Harmless.
The crowd didn't care at Canada Cup. It happened with AE before with Justin Wong v. Air, where Justin played Dan. They even replayed that as a past highlight.

This is why I like Canadian majors. It's pretty obvious that they're there because they love the games and want to have fun, not to worry about e-sports bullshit.
That's how it should be.
If they patch Marvel again, Justin Wong would win at least a couple of majors again before people figure out the new top tiers. His fundamentals are too strong at this game, his blocking is second to none.Its really ChrisG who will consistently beat him because Chris' team punishes you for blocking!
