I'd agree that MvC2 is the greatest fighting game roster of all time.

Juggernaut, Venom, Mega Man, War Machine, Mango Sentinel, Cyclops, Ken w/ air fireballs, Non-shitty Jill Valentine, just so much awesome rolled into one.

Aside from sheer scale (which was the most amazing thing in the world to me when I was younger), MvC2 roster does little for me. I prefer the ones in the Guilty Gear series and Arcana Heart series... and yeah, MvC3.

They should bring back Ruby Heart. She even got her own game, lol.

wait what? I had the original Dreamcast japanese mvc2 (that shit was going for like 80+bucks at the time) and I had all the characters with just local play (IIRC).

How is that possible? Japanese versions has three types of points to collect and one of them being online points. Certain characters can only be unlocked using these points. The only other option was to download a japanese VMU save file.

When I unlocked every character and color on the JP PS2 version and discovered you could play the same three characters there was no going back from team Max Power (Juggernaut Juggernaut Juggernaut).

Everyone around here had the japanese version and everyone had the VMU file. When I bought the game it was like the VMU file came with it. I still remember people at the arcade asking "hey is this the shoryuken assist?" since everything was in japanese.
