Fighting Games Weekly | December 31 - January 6 | 2013 brings some new challengers!

When I see Strange played on streams I always get the urge to try him out again but I can't do anything with him beyond orb mixups and basic meter burning combos. Is there anything more to playing him? I know not to play him on point, and I don't see him that useful when X Factored....

Best way to see him really is that he's a poor man's Taskmaster with more tricks, an assist that works very well with characters that have strong overheads but a lot more holes in his gameplan. Like Taskmaster you should think less about how to open people him with him, you should be thinking more about how to shut down your opponent's approach and have him dash head first into an Impact Palm/Mystic Sword/Eye. And many people just end up doing that against Strange players because they suck and don't understand him. But strictly speaking if you have no use from his assists there's not much reason why you should be using him.

So does anyone outside of CA actually think that PSAS is a good idea for EVO?

Lots of people seem to think that PSAS is a lock for EVO because EVO's corrupt and Sony can buy their way to the lineup. But I am yet to find anyone who actually thinks PSAS has a chance of succeeding not just at EVO but in any competitive environment.

Bum was just nervous. Anyone who has watched him play knows he's much better than that. Hopefully he keeps competing, because he is good at the game.

Zero is a fair and balanced character.

Flux only lost when he lost Zero in the first match.

Moonz just played scared. All Zero players love to go H.A.M and the best way to counter that shit is to go H.A.M yourself.

In the first match Flux Vergil (died on incoming mix up) and Dante (opened up like 4 times) couldn't block shit. Trust me when I say we Zero players can't block for shit.

I already know this. There is a major difference between the blocking skills of Moonz and of Flux. Flux couldn't block a simple Taskmaster high low.

It's very hard to go ham against Zero because of his sword normals protecting him all over the place. You need Vergil normals to go ham against him.

Yea but Moonz didn't even attempt to. He backed off from the start of the round giving Flux all the time in the world to set his shit up. He should of just took the Pr Balrog strategy and just go in head first with Nova. If you get the hit then you win, if Nova dies then you can back out and re-think with Task/Ammy. He just sacrificed Nova all three rounds, and played Task/Ammy vs ZmC.

Also Jrosa's Strider looks like booty butt cheeks.

You must have gone to the worst Popeyes.
It's a fast food place, shit is the same everywhere. It's not bad, it's just mediocre, though. The biscuits are fantastic, the chicken is decent, I like the tea, and the gravy for the mashed potatoes is decent. I wasn't fond of anything else there.
